    ?

At the end of September, Jiang Yan received a letter from Yanzhou.

Since the last time the prince intentionally recalled the Jiang family back to the court of the capital, Jiang Yan sent a letter home to remind his father to deal with it early.  The journey was bumpy, and it took more than two months for my father's reply to arrive at Ying Tianfu.  Today Jiang Yan received the letter from the concierge supervisor, and couldn't wait to open it, leaning against the pillar of the vestibule to read it.

Father's handwriting was still so strong and powerful. In the letter, he mentioned that he had no intention of returning to the vortex of court battles. He wrote a letter of "Chen Qing Biao" on the grounds of being weak and weak, and declined the envoy who came to test the tone of the prince.  He also talked about the unceasing turmoil in the Northwest Tatars, fear of accidents at the end of the year, and then asked Jiang Yan how he was doing, whether there was enough money, and he should be diligent, humble and polite

At the end of the letter, there was a line of A Niang's small words, only two sentences: one is to let her take care of her body, and the other is to let her go to Lintao Mansion to thank Lu Yunsheng and Mr. Lu in person when she is free.  Although she didn't explain the reason, Jiang Yan could guess that it was probably to thank Mr. Lu for recommending herself.

In late autumn, the clouds are light and the apricot leaves are golden.  Jiang Yan carefully read the letter back and forth several times, and she, who always showed a smile on her face, became a little sad when she saw things and thought about others.

Fortunately, there are still two months left before the end of the year, but there are two months of vacation to go home and visit relatives.

Thinking of this, Jiang Yan was very happy, folded the letter and put it in her arms, and then went to the classic book building - yesterday the doctor officer assigned the task of reciting the interpretation of ancient books, and she didn't understand a few sentences very well  through.  It just so happened that last month she got an excellent grade by memorizing a word 'positive', so she exchanged for a half-day vacation and planned to go to the classics building to check the annotations of the predecessors, so that she would not lose to Fu Li in the interpretation competition tomorrow.

Passing by the ancient and majestic gate of Guozijian, she saw a young man standing on the stone steps outside the gate, which immediately attracted her attention.

The boy was holding a huge food box, dressed in a moon-white brocade robe, and a black jade belt. The hair on the top of his head was tied into a bun, and the other half hung down from his shoulders.  familiar.

    Fu Li?

He is not studying, what is he doing at the door?

Conceived to deceive, Jiang Yan stepped up the steps lightly with her lower garments in hand, and suddenly called from behind: "Young Master Fu!"

A row of white pigeons flew past under the eaves, and the boy was taken aback. Hearing the sound, he turned around, his face similar to Fu Li's was full of surprise.  This boy is only fourteen or fifteen years old, and his face still has a bit of immature baby fat. Although he is very similar to Fu Li, he is obviously more lively and gentle. At this moment, his stunned and surprised look is a bit cute.

It's just such a cute boy, not Fu Li.

? Jiang Yan was startled, her smile froze at the corner of her mouth without embarrassment, it took a while to react, and she took a step back to apologize: "Sorry, I admitted the wrong person."

Just now, from a distance, he only felt familiar from his back, but he didn't notice that he was wearing a regular uniform, not a student from the Imperial College, so he mistook the young man for Fu Li.

The boy also looked at her steadily.

The way he looked at people was exactly the same as Fu Li's. If it wasn't for the humble and gentle smile in his eyes, Jiang Yan would have suspected that he was Fu Li himself who was three years younger!

"It's okay." The young man's voice was still hoarse, but it wasn't unpleasant. He held the food box and bowed, "I'm in Fujing, the second in the family. The name my sister called just now should be my eldest brother."  .¡±

"Are you Fu Li's younger brother?" Jiang Yan was stunned, no wonder the two looked so alike from the back.

Fu Jing gave a youthful smile and nodded slightly.

This boy, with a three-point smile on his brows, is more likable than his elder brother.

Jiang Yan didn't recognize her life, she could chat with anyone she saw, and immediately asked curiously: "The Fu family has such a well-behaved younger brother, how come he has never been mentioned before?" Seeing Fu Jing's suspicious gaze,  Only then did Jiang Yan remember that she hadn't reported to her family yet, so she bowed her hands and said, "I almost forgot. Jiang Yan in Yanzhou Prefecture."

This name is like the key to open a certain mechanism, Fu Jing's eyes lit up, showing an expression of "so it is".  Immediately, he bent his eyes and said, "What a coincidence, they are a family."

Jiang Yan didn't understand what he meant, just smiled and said: "You young man is more familiar than me, who is with your family?"

Fu Jing's lips parted slightly, and when he was about to say something, Jiang Yan interrupted: "You came here to find your brother?"

The topic was diverted, so Fu Jing could only nod and replied: "Exactly. Today is my elder brother's birthday, and my father ordered me to come and bring him some food to celebrate his birthday."

So it is.  Jiang Yan had heard from her parents a long time ago that Fu's eldest son was one year and three months older than herself, so today should be his seventeenth birthday?

"What dishes are in the box?" Jiang Yan asked curiously.

Fu Jing replied: "Tofu mixed with green onions, fried bamboo shoots in soy sauce, and cabbage in soup.pieces.

He couldn't help but stop and look again. The setting sun was shining on his neat desk, and it turned the rough oiled paper into golden red, making it even more abrupt.

    what?

    Who put it there?

Bewildered for a moment, Fu Li walked around the corridor into the empty academy, walked slowly to the last row and stood next to his seat.  He stared at the oiled paper bag for a while, only to see a bamboo stick sticking out of the oiled paper bag, and the air was filled with the familiar sweet and sour fragrance.

For some reason, there was an inexplicable throbbing in my heart.

Peeling off the oiled paper layer by layer, Fu Li couldn't help but widen his eyes, a look of astonishment rarely appeared on his cold face.  Wrapped in oiled paper in the palm is a bunch of crystal clear bright red hawthorn candied haws with syrup hanging on them. The fried sesame seeds are dotted on the top, which is an attractive golden yellow.

There was a note folded in half on the desk, and when I opened it, there were two lines of handwriting: [This is a gift in return.  happy birthday!  ¡¿

A fox is drawn with a few strokes below the handwriting.  The fox has pointed ears, cold eyes, tight lips, slightly raised chin, and sits upright with its big tail dragging. It looks very arrogant like someone.

A thin piece of paper seems to be soaked with some kind of emotion, becoming heavy and warm.  Fu Li subconsciously glanced at the seat next to him, and saw that the tip of the pen on the table was wet, and when he touched it with his hand, there was still wet ink in the inkstone, obviously someone had used it not long ago.

Candied haws is a gift in return and a birthday gift.  Fu Li was so clever, he guessed who gave this gift that was as light as a feather but heavier than Mount Tai almost at that moment.

    My heart was burning uncontrollably.

Fu Li faced the setting sun, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, revealing a smile that he didn't even notice.

He simply sat down cross-legged, and twirled the bamboo stick holding the candied haws in his hand. The crystal icing reflected a seductive luster in the setting sun, as if bearing her flamboyant smile.  His eyes were like melting ice and snow, with deep eye waves and a trace of indescribable reluctance.

This is the only candied haws he knows the sweetness of without tasting it for so many years.

    Also, not willing to taste.
