Text 690. Spider's End Alley

Previous page Return to Catalog Next page

With the apparition spell, long-distance travel is a very simple matter for wizards. In the blink of an eye, Dumbledore brought Fish to the bank of a river.

There is an abandoned mill not far from the river bank, and the chimney of the mill is still standing tall.

"Albus, the smell here smells so bad"

    (?h?)

Fish covered his mouth and nose with his hands, frowned and said in disgust: "How could Severus live in such a place?"

The river next to it meanders, with weeds on both sides and piles of garbage. The river was black, with scattered garbage and balls of white foam floating on it. There was no sign of life in the water, and together with the garbage piles on the shore, it gave off an unpleasant smell.

"Probably" Dumbledore looked at the huge chimney not far away, and said with emotion, "Perhaps this is a place worth remembering for him"

At this moment, there was a rustling sound from the nearby bushes, and a skinny fox came out of it. Its hair was gray and clumps were formed in many places. look.

    "Wowwow"

The fox gave Dumbledore a vigilant look, and then trotted to Fish's feet, making a hoarse but pitiful cry.

Without saying a word, Fish patted the rejuvenation technique on the fox, and took out a large piece of jerky from his pocket and fed it to it.

After the fox finished eating the jerky in twos and threes, Fisher used clean water like a spring to make some clean water for it to drink, and cleaned up the plaster on its body with Cleaner, revealing the dull yellow fur underneath. .

Then, Fisher activated the animal reduction technique, shrunk the fox down to the size of a palm, and put it into his pocket.

Dumbledore watched Fish finish all this with a smile, and then said: "Let's go, it's time for us to find Severus, remember not to show your ears and tail."

The two climbed up the slope of the river bank, where an old railing separated the river from a narrow cobbled lane. On the opposite side of the railing, there are rows of dilapidated brick houses.

    "This way."

Dumbledore looked around and found a gap in the rusty railing. He walked over quickly, ducked through the gap, and came to the alley on the other side.

The two walked into the alley between the houses one after the other, and shuttled between rows of dilapidated brick houses. From time to time, one or two unconscious drunks could be seen lying on the street, their pockets They were all turned out, and some clothes were even stripped off, and they were lying naked on the cold cobblestone ground.

    "Fish hates meow here."

    (??v?v??)

    Mao Mao frowned and said.

The environment here reminded him of the time when he was wandering outside. However, even if it was just like this, although Fisher didn't like it, he didn't feel much disgust, because he hadn't stayed in a worse environment.

The more important reason is that this place gave Fisch an indescribable sense of oppression, which made him resent this place from the bottom of his heart.

"I don't like it here either, but after persuading Severus several times, he refused to move." Dumbledore sighed and said helplessly.

"Is it because I have no money, meow?"

    ?w?

Fish was reminded again of what Professor McGonagall called "making money to support the family."

"Of course not!" Dumbledore said righteously: "The salary at Hogwarts is not low! Besides, as a wizard who is proficient in potions, it is impossible for Severus to be short of money."

"It seems Severus is also an uneasy guy!"

Mao Mao imitated Hermione's appearance when she was talking about herself, spreading her hands, shaking her head helplessly and sighing.

    Dumbledore: ""

The two walked around these dilapidated brick houses for a while, and came to a street called Spider's End Alley.

This street is not much different from the previous ones,

There are dilapidated houses everywhere. Most of the windows of the houses have no glass, but are nailed up with wooden boards. Ugly potholes filled with dirt and dirty water.

Dumbledore led Fish to the last house. The windows of this house rarely used curtains and glass to isolate the inside from the outside.

He knocked on the door,After a while, the door was opened a crack, revealing a sallow face with a pair of jet-black eyes, and Snape's signature hooked nose.

    "Severus, good morning meow!"

    |¦µw¦µ?)?

Fish poked his head out from behind Dumbledore, and greeted him vigorously.

"Fish?!" Snape whispered in surprise and joy, and subconsciously opened most of the door.

Then he looked at Dumbledore, who stood in front of the cat and looked very obtrusive, pursed his thin lips, nodded at him unobtrusively, and said bluntly, "You are here too."

Then, Snape moved away, "Come in and say it, it will be troublesome if the Muggles who live here see it."

"Excuse me." Dumbledore bent slightly and walked in through the slightly low door.

Fish naturally followed closely behind, and immediately looked around after entering.

    (¡ãw¡ã¡Ô¡ãw¡ã)

After entering the door, a small living room greets the eyes, but since all the windows are tightly blocked by curtains, it feels more like a dark prison cell with soft walls.

In front of several walls of the living room, there are bookshelves that almost block the walls. The bookshelves are full of books, most of which are old black or brown leather covers.

A single candle-lit lamp hung from the ceiling, casting a dim halo in which were crowded together a frayed sofa, an old armchair, and a rickety table.

This place has a desolate and deserted atmosphere, and it seems that no one usually lives in itbut this is normal, because Snape lived in the school most of the time.

    Yawen bar

"Severus, why do you like living in this kind of place Fish feels bad here, meow, the smell outside is still so bad"

    (??w??)?

The simple furnishings in the room are nothing to Mao Mao, on the contrary, he prefers this dark environment, uureading www.uukanshu.com But the outside environment is unacceptable to Fish. If possible, cats prefer a cleaner place.

Snape was silent for a while, then said in a low voice, "This is the house my parents left me."

Fish shook his ears that were finally able to be released, and thought for a while that if it was him, he would also want to live in Professor McGonagall's house, so he quickly accepted this explanation.

"Very well, but if you're uncomfortable staying here, you can go to Fish's! There are still several vacant rooms in Minerva's house!"

    ?(?¦µw¦µ?)?

    Mao Mao invited very seriously.

"Thank you." Snape said, his lips quivering a few times.

"Fish, do you welcome me to live with you?" Dumbledore approached shyly.

Originally, Fish wanted to get back habitually, but when he thought that this bad old man might die, Mao Mao retracted his bad words, and said reluctantly: "If you want to go, it's not impossible meow as long as Minerva agrees."

    (?`w¡ä?)

Mao Mao folded her hands and nodded her head seriously.

Despite Fisher's reluctance, Dumbledore was still as happy as a hundred-year-old man.

He didn't even want to be cured.

"You guys are here today, what's the matter?"

Snape couldn't see Dumbledore's frightened look, and interrupted decisively.

Only then did Dumbledore restrain his smile, revealing his scorched right hand, and said to Snape sternly: "I was plotted against by Voldemort before, I'm here to ask if you have a solution Besides, our plan may require Make some adjustments"
