    "Name."

    "Lu Ming."

    "age."

    "eighteen."

Hearing this, the middle-aged man who was taking notes couldn't help but looked up. A young man in front of him was so dazzled by the bright light of the spotlight that his forehead was covered by his messy hair.  The man gave up the idea of ??turning off the headlights and looking directly into each other's eyes.

Seeing the other party's shabby clothes, the big hole on the top seemed to have no intention of repairing at all, the middle-aged man frowned and thought for a while, then left the pen in his hand on the table.  Immediately afterwards, he lay back on the chair, with his right leg habitually resting on his left leg, tilted up.

After fumbling around in his arms for a long time, the man took out a slender small wooden box from his arms, and after taking out a cigar in the box, the man calmly took out his own cigar from his pocket.  With a "click" from the Zippo lighter, the bright flame suddenly illuminated his face.

After inhaling lightly, the man raised his head and exhaled a smoke ring. After watching the smoke ring seem to fly to the light beam above his head, the man withdrew his gaze.

"Do you know anyone in Qingshui City?"

After taking another puff of the cigar, the man narrowed his eyes and looked at the young man opposite him.

    ""

The young man's silence made the middle-aged man seem a little unaccustomed, and then he lightly lit the cigar twice with his index finger, and the moment the gray-white ash fell from his fingers, he spoke again: "Where are your parents? Are you from outside the city?"  Come in, you should know that it is very difficult for a person to survive outside the city."

However, the answer to him was still silence.

Seeing this, the middle-aged man didn't continue to speak, and the room calmed down for a while.  However, it didn't take long for this tranquility to be broken by a rush of footsteps.

    "Boss."

Hearing the voice from behind, the middle-aged man turned his head and looked back. A young man wearing gold-rimmed glasses and a light gray suit stood not far behind him.  Through the gap in the iron railing, the eyes of the two collided.

    "What's up?"

The young man coughed, pushed his glasses on the bridge of his nose, and lowered his voice slightly: "Professor Yang is looking for you."

Hearing this, the middle-aged man was subconsciously taken aback, and immediately said: "Okay."

Then he got up from the seat, then pushed open the iron door and walked out of the room. After seeing the guards on both sides of the iron door holding guns in their arms and staring at the front meticulously, he subconsciously turned his head to look at the person under the spotlight in the room.  The young man then turned back to one of them and said, "Look at the interrogation room."

After leaving this sentence, he immediately strode away.

As the sound of footsteps gradually weakened, the body of the young man who had lowered his head in the interrogation room suddenly twitched unconsciously. After the sound of footsteps disappeared completely, his head suddenly lifted up, and a pair of strange eyes looked straight at him under his messy hair.  To that high powered spotlight

"Professor Yang, what can I do for you?"

Pushing open the door of the conference room, the middle-aged man cast his eyes on the old man standing at the head of the conference table.  At this moment, the old man had a kind smile on his face, and then raised his finger to point to the cigar between the man's index finger and middle finger.

"Personally, I suggest you turn it off when there are ladies present."

The middle-aged man who suddenly realized that he and Professor Yang were not the only ones in the conference room turned his gaze to the front of the room, where a woman dressed in casual clothes was staring at the electronic screen in front of him.

"Director Jiang? Didn't you go to the Municipal Affairs Office to take care of the security work today?"

The woman known as Director Jiang did not turn around, but raised a hand to stroke the bangs in front of her forehead: "Go over there for a while, I heard that you have interesting things here, come and take a look  .¡±

"Don't worry about her, just sit down first."

Seeing Professor Yang pointing to his side, the middle-aged man put out his cigar in the ashtray, then pulled away the chair next to him and sat down.

"I heard that there was an invasion today?"

    "right."

    "Tell me in detail."

The middle-aged man was a little surprised by Professor Shang Yang's calm gaze. He asked, "Professor, aren't you doing research in the D4 laboratory? Why are you asking about this today?"

As if guessing that the man would ask such a question, Professor Yang smiled lightly, and then said: "Xiao Chen from your Special Affairs Department said today that there was an intrusion incident, but the values ????of the detection equipment are a bit weird. He suspects that the equipment has malfunctioned.  Question. As you know, the instrument was developed by me, and I will definitely ask if something like this happens."

?He was staring at the screen, and his fingers were still tapping rapidly, as if he was looking for information.

Not long after, Zhang Haoran stopped what he was doing, and looked at the two of them with a strange expression on his face.

    "I found it."

    "What did you find?"

Jiang Cailing, who put down the milk tea, asked curiously.

Zhang Haoran closed his eyes and took a deep breath: "I have found this person's identity information."

Before the two could open their mouths, Zhang Haoran opened his eyes and continued: "After I couldn't find any useless clues in Qingshui City, I changed my mind to see if there were any relevant records on the Federation side.  useful information."

"According to the information, this person followed a group of wilderness wanderers into the Federation's Dawn City four years ago, and registered there." After glancing at the information on the screen, Zhang Haoran added: "He is an orphan  .¡±

"Dawn City? I remember that I went there two years ago to participate in an academic exchange meeting, but there seems to be no direct road to Qingshui City."

Professor Yang looked at Zhang Haoran in surprise, his face full of disbelief.

    "That is to say¡ª"

Feeling Jiang Cailing's gaze, Zhang Haoran suppressed the shock deep in his heart, and said in a somewhat unnatural tone: "He should have traveled 700 kilometers on foot in the wilderness"

"Crossing 700 kilometers in the wilderness on foot, Zhang Haoran, are you sure he is just an ordinary person?! Even a Class A medal holder can't do this."

Jiang Cailing looked at Zhang Haoran in disbelief, with the words "impossible" written in her eyes.  In fact, Jiang Cailing couldn't believe that there was a reason for this incident. In today's wilderness where there is a lack of food, clean water and various unknown threats, let alone ordinary people, even a medal holder  There is simply no way to survive in such conditions.  Not to mention that since the appearance of the other side, there have been frequent invasions in the wilderness, and even the people in the city must always be vigilant and careful about those terrifying monsters. Under such circumstances, some people can really walk 700 kilometers to the other side  a place?

Facing Jiang Cailing's questioning, Zhang Haoran replied uncertainly: "Maybe he is just an ordinary person."

There was a smile on the delicate face, and Jiang Cailing said playfully: "Then I would like to ask Section Chief Zhang¡ª¡ª"

"What are you going to do with this 'ordinary person'?"

    "Lu Ming."

The door of the interrogation room was opened, and Lu Ming, who was sitting on a chair, looked out of the door. A guard walked in, and then took out a key to open the handcuffs on his hand.

    "Come with us."

Seeing that the handcuffs were opened, Lu Ming hesitated for a while, and then left the interrogation room step by step with slow steps.

Following the guards through one corridor after another, Lu Ming was brought to a glass door. Seeing him stop in front of the door, the guide asked puzzledly, "Why are you standing there? Open the door and go out.  You are free now."

The word "freedom" made Lu Ming's pupils constrict, and then he slowly pressed his hand on the glass door, then opened the door and walked out slowly.

Looking at his weird behavior, the guards felt a little baffled, but this was not what they were concerned about, so the two returned along the same way.

But just above the gate, on the roof of the building, two figures stared at Lu Ming who was about to leave.

"Section Chief, why did you let him go?"

Zhang Haoran exhaled a smoke ring, and looked back at the young man wearing gold-rimmed glasses behind him: "Why, do you still want to sleep with him?"

"Of course it's impossible, Chief, you know me, my sexual orientation has always been normal."

"Then what do you think of others? Do you want someone to be your assistant?"

    "No, I just think"

The young man was at a loss for words for a while, and he didn't know how to express his thoughts. In desperation, he looked towards the figure on the street, but under the dim street lights, he suddenly discovered something¡ª¡ª

The young man named Lu Ming has no shadow.
