Kunpeng's Journey to the Wilderness Chapter 42: Yuanfeng, Phoenix Breeds Nine Young Chicks!

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

There is a saying in "Shan Hai Jing": "There is a bird Yan, whose shape is like a chicken, with five colors and writing, and its name is Fenghuang."

Phoenix, also known as "Fenghuang", is the king of birds in ancient legends.  The male is called "Feng" and the female is called "Huang"

Accompanied by Yuanfeng, Kunpeng talked and laughed along the way to visit the customs of the Phoenix clan.

Indeed, as later generations said, the phoenix has "chicken head, swallow jaw, snake neck, turtle back, fish tail, and five colors".

There are five kinds of character patterns on Yuanfeng's body: "The first text means virtue, the wing text means obedience, the back text means righteousness, the belly text means faith, and the inscription text means benevolence."

Kunpeng praised: "Fellow Daoist is really a man of Tao and has the virtue of suppressing volcanoes. How can the Phoenix clan not be prosperous in the world?"

Yuanfeng waved his hand and said with a smile: "Fellow Daoist praised you, it's just an act of guarding the soil, but fellow Daoist made a lot of noise before."

Yuanfeng's words obviously meant something, Kunpeng couldn't hear it, and said with a smile: "It's just a fluke, I just got a treasure to see through it, which can't be compared with the Daoist family to suppress the volcano and protect the living beings. The merits are immeasurable, the merits  That's endless."

Yuan Feng was only curious and trying to win over Kunpeng, so he didn't ask any more questions.

"Actually, it is very beneficial for my family to live in this immortal volcano. The volcano and magma are rich in fire aura, which is most conducive to the cultivation of our fire attribute people."

Yuan Feng explained, and then paused, "As for other clansmen, there are many places suitable for cultivation of their own choice, such as the East China Sea and Fenglin Island."

"Open branches and leaves, spread all over the world, it is the prosperity of luck!"

When Kunpeng heard about 'Fenglinzhou', his heart moved and he said with a smile.

"Fellow Daoist's words are true. Ever since our phoenix, dragon, and unicorn clans were established, our luck has flourished, our cultivation and strength have greatly increased, and our influence has spread all over the prehistoric world."

Having said that, Yuan Feng didn't look happy, instead he frowned and said worriedly:

"It's just that Fellow Daoist Kunpeng doesn't know something. Nowadays, there are more and more people from the three tribes. For resources and practice places, conflicts are increasing day by day. Looting and fighting happen from time to time. Enmity, killing and resentment are accumulating day by day. How can we get it?"

Kunpeng knew the intention of Yuanfeng's words, firstly to seek a solution, secondly to test Kunpeng's views on the three tribes, and thirdly, of course, to win over himself and get more help.

Although Kunpeng intends to befriend the Feng Clan, he has no intention of being deeply involved in it, so he can only be vague: "The three clans are all prehistoric clans, with luxuriant branches and deep roots, and occasional conflicts among the younger generations are inevitable. If the elders strictly restrain them,  Thinking about it, it¡¯s not out of control.¡±

Yuanfeng was silent when he heard the words.

Kunpeng had no choice but to continue: "I came from Beiming, and I have also stayed in the eastern boundary, and the ten continents, three islands and the East China Sea are relatively peaceful.

    It's just that there are many talents from the dragon clan, and nine sons of dragons are born out of nowhere, so their strength becomes more and more powerful. Some of the dragon sons act quite domineeringly;

The three races still need to work together to eliminate the gap, so as to avoid the entanglement of cause and effect, which will become bigger and bigger. If it leads to doom, it will not be beautiful!  "

"What Fellow Daoist said is very true!" Yuan Feng nodded, and immediately said proudly: "The dragon has nine sons, and the phoenix has nine chicks. My Feng clan is also full of talents, and it is not weaker than the other dragon clan."

Seeing Kunpeng's curiosity, Yuanfeng also wanted to show his strength, and continued: "Phoenix elephants have five colors, five-colored and red phoenixes (Chifeng), yellow ones (yu¨¡n ch¨²), green ones (Qingluan)  ), the purple one is ûNú| (yu¨¨ zhu¨®), and the white one is swan. Among them, the red phoenix is ??aggressive!"

"There are also two incompetent ones who are always causing trouble. Among them, 'Dafeng (Dafeng)' is extremely fierce and often causes wind disasters. There is also 'ùQû@' (j¨´n y¨ª), who likes to tell tales and is good at provoking trouble."

"However, they are not there anymore, and I don't know where they went to play again." Yuanfeng said bitterly and helplessly.

"There are countless people with great supernatural powers in the prehistoric world. If you have time, you need to teach them strictly. Otherwise, you may have something you can't bear to say, and it will be too late to regret."

Kunpeng faintly felt that the fate of the later generations of "Dafeng" was not good, so he persuaded him earnestly.

"Well, what Fellow Daoist said is very true, he is really a good teacher and helpful friend! I should keep it in my heart!"

Seeing that Kunpeng was really thinking about himself, Yuanfeng respected him.

"Don't dare to take it! My fellow Taoist and I hit it off right away, so I took the liberty to hear about it, but it's really offended!" Kunpeng clasped his hands.

"Loyal words are harmful to the ears and good for deeds, don't I know? Fellow Taoist Kunpeng doesn't treat me as an outsider, and I'm too happy." Yuanfeng said with a smile on his face, very sincerely.

"As for the other two sons?? is a little different.  " Yuanfeng continued with a serious face

ps: [ûgúR (yu¨¡n ch¨²)]: It is a bird similar to Luanfeng in Chinese myths and legends, and it is also a metaphor for talented young people.

"Shan Hai Jing ¡¤ Nan Shan Jing": "(Nanyu Mountain) Zuo Shui flows out, while the southeast flows into the sea, there are Feng Huang and ûgúR." Guo Pu's note: "Yi Feng belongs."

"Zhuangzi Qiushui" says: "There is a bird in the south, its name is the bird, it is not a sycamore tree, it does not eat unless it is practiced, and it does not drink unless it is a sweet spring."

[Green Luan]: also known as luan bird, blue bird, chicken fun, etc.  Luan is a bird like the phoenix in ancient Chinese myths and legends. Among the different names of the phoenix, it may be the most well-known one.  The popular saying in Han and Jin novels is to regard the ostrich¡ªthe black bird¡ªthe blue bird as the messenger of the spring god and the symbol of the Eastern Prince and the Western Queen Mother.  "Shan Hai Jing": "On the mountain of the female bed, there is a bird, which is shaped like a Zhai, and its name is the Luan bird. Seeing it, the world will be peaceful.

Rui Bird also.  Zhang Hua's note said: Luan, the sub-genus of the phoenix, is born like a phoenix at first, and the colors change over time, and its sound is like a bell.  There are a lot of cultural relics in the Zhou Dynasty, and a big bell is adorned on the dharma chariot, which also sounds like a luan, so it was changed to a luan chariot.

[ûNú| (yu¨¨ zhu¨®)]: The phoenix is ??one of the five phoenixes in ancient Chinese folklore. It is black or purple, but it is actually a wild goose.  Dian ú| symbolizes the quality of perseverance and unyielding, and still mostly symbolizes wise ministers and wise men.

[Honghu]: In Chinese myths and legends, Honghu is a white phoenix.  Hong refers to geese, while swan refers to swans.  In ancient my country, swans were called "swans" or "swans".  The swan is good at flying and is one of the highest flying birds. Its whiteness and high flying have become a symbol of purity, kindness, nobility and bravery in people's minds.

[Great Wind]: Also known as "Dafeng", it is said that it is a relative of the peacock.  It is extremely fierce, with a huge body, and it can cover half of the sky with its wings. When the wings are flapped, a hurricane will blow up, the trees will be uprooted, and the houses will collapse in batches.  According to the "Shan Hai Jing", it looks like a dog with a human face, smiles when it sees people, and moves like the wind.  It is now a sign of a severe storm.  Its theory first appeared in the pre-Qin period.

A ferocious bird of prey in Chinese myths and legends.  During the time of Yao, he harmed the people and was shot and killed by Yi in the lake of Qingqiu.  Because of its large size, the wind rises when it flaps its wings, so it is also called Feng Bo.  Its theory first appeared in Han Dynasty.

¡¾ùQû@(j¨´n y¨ª)¡¿: ùRû@ is also called ùQû@, a bird in Chinese legend. It is said that ùQû@ can speak human words, and it is very ominous for those who see it.  "Shuowen Bird Department": "ùQ, ùQû@, ú‡ also." "Jade Chapter Bird Department": "ùQû@, phoenix."

?Guo Pu's Note: "Like a pheasant with a small crown, yellow back hair, red belly, green nape, bright color."
