    ?

Sitting at the table, Fang Xiaoyuan really understood what "living the day like a year" is.  In the past, she always felt that time passed quickly. The carousel stopped before she had sat enough on the carousel, her friend was going home before she had played enough Monopoly games, and the new semester was about to start before she finished her vacation homework.  But now, she was staring at the clock on the wall, and after waiting for a long time, she still couldn't see the short and fat hour hand moving forward by one grid.

She began to suspect that she was being teased by time. That cunning guy seemed to be deliberately against her.  Turning her head to look out the window, the sun was hanging in the sky, as if laughing at her.

Grandma put a plate of sliced ??cantaloupe on the table and invited her to come and eat.  But Fang Xiaoyuan couldn't care less about eating cantaloupe now, her heart had already flown out of the gate, jumped onto the roof, and plunged headlong into the world of grotesque fairies.

"Yuanyuan, this cantaloupe is sweet. It was given by Aunt Yang next door. She knows you like sweets the most, so she specially picked a ripe one." Grandma tried to attract Fang Xiaoyuan's attention with sweet melons, but failed.  She buried her head like she was writing rapidly, but she didn't write a single word.

After noon, the sound of children running and frolicking came from outside as usual, making Fang Xiaoyuan upset.  Ever since she lived in her grandma's house, it has been like this every day, and the children in this village have made an appointment to come out to play in the afternoon, and they still pick up the walls of other people's houses.  In the past, she let them go, but today she mustered up the courage to break out.

"What are you doing?!" Fang Xiaoyuan put down the pencil in his hand, and walked out the back door, just in time to see four or five and a half older children huddled together lying on the window sill of grandma's house, looking inside.  "Only thieves steal through windows!" she yelled angrily.

When those children saw her coming out, they immediately scattered and ran away, leaving only a short little boy standing there, blinking his big eyes at Fang Xiaoyuan, with a look of helplessness.  Fang Xiaoyuan walked over, frowned tightly and stared at him, showing a very angry look.  The little boy was probably frightened by her appearance, and slowly lowered his head.  "I'm sorryI'm not a thief"

When Fang Xiaoyuan, who was originally aggressive, heard him take the initiative to apologize, most of his anger disappeared immediately, and the hand on his waist that was used to strengthen his courage unconsciously let go.  "Actually, that's not what I meant." She explained, "I was too angry just now, I shouldn't call you thieves, but you also scolded me yesterday."

The little boy raised his head and looked at her carefully, "NoI didn't"

"It wasn't you who said it, but your friend said it, anyway, it was you guys." Mentioning this, Fang Xiaoyuan was filled with righteous indignation, "You call me little fat girl, I heard it all!"

The little boy pursed his dry lips and couldn't say anything except shaking his head.  Fang Xiaoyuan saw that he kept pinching the corner of his clothes with his hands, which was exactly the same as his reaction when he was nervous and afraid, and he already had a conclusion in his heart.  The guy who gets scared so easily and can't even run away must be a coward, so he dares not call her a nickname.

"Then tell me, who gave me a nickname?" Fang Xiaoyuan asked.

The little boy didn't answer right away, but hesitated instead.  On one side is his little friend who plays with him all day long, and on the other side is Fang Xiaoyuan, who is new to the show. He is not thinking about whether he should tell the truth, but is struggling repeatedly between his friend's loyalty and his sense of justice.

"They are wrong, I apologize to you on their behalf." He suddenly took two steps back and bowed to Fang Xiaoyuan.

Fang Xiaoyuan had never seen this kind of battle before, and was taken aback for a while.  She stared at him for a few seconds, then offered her hand, "My name is Fang Xiaoyuan, not a little fat girl, next time they call me by my nickname, you have to tell them."

"My name is Zhou Yangyang, and they all call me Yangyang." The little boy rubbed his hands on the clothes repeatedly, and stretched them over cautiously.

After the turmoil, the relationship between the two eased. Fang Xiaoyuan suddenly remembered the plate of cantaloupe that grandma had cut up, and invited her, "Yangyang, do you want to eat cantaloupe?" The little boy nodded vigorously, and walked with her to the main room.

Only then did Fang Xiaoyuan realize that Zhou Yangyang didn't dare to run away just now, but couldn't run away.  He had a limp on one foot, and he limped when he walked, and he couldn't run fast at all.  She looked down at his feet, and quickly shifted her gaze when she noticed something strange.  Mom said it was rude to stare at other people's flaws, and she always took that to heart.

"It's okay, I don't mind." Zhou Yangyang said, not hiding her eyes at all, but stretched out that leg, as if showing a beautiful product.

"Are youare you injured?" Fang Xiaoyuan asked.

"No, I was sick." Zhou Yangyang explained patiently, "When I was five years old." He turned his legs to let Fang Xiaoyuan see better, "Although I got better later,But one leg was broken.  But in fact, it's not a big deal. If you get used to it, it won't affect your life, it's just that you don't run too fast.  It just so happens that I don't like running either.  " Speaking of this, he laughed out loud, his eyes bent into two crescents, causing Fang Xiaoyuan to laugh too.

"Here." She picked the biggest piece of cantaloupe and handed it to Zhou Yangyang, "Grandma said it was brought by Aunt Yang next door, so it must be sweet."

Zhou Yangyang took the cantaloupe, took a small bite, and immediately grinned, "It's so sweet! I've never eaten such a sweet melon!"

He ate very slowly, Fang Xiaoyuan had already wiped out three pieces like a storm, and he didn't even finish eating one piece.  Fang Xiaoyuan was about to reach out to the fourth piece, but noticed that there were only two pieces left on the plate.  Based on the principle of fair distribution, these two pieces should belong to Zhou Yangyang.  She silently put down her hand and looked up at him, "Didn't you say it's very sweet, why don't you want to eat it?"

Zhou Yangyang licked his lips, "Because it's very sweet, I want to eat it slowly so that it can be sweeter for a while."

Fang Xiaoyuan was stunned, this idea never appeared in her mind.  Every time she faces something she likes to eat, she just sweeps it away without even thinking about it, and never covets a second of sweetness.  She pushed the plate in front of Zhou Yangyang, "Here are two pieces, which can be sweet for a long time."

After eating cantaloupe, Zhou Yangyang caught a glimpse of Fang Xiaoyuan's summer homework set aside, picked it up curiously, and read out the words on the cover word by word.  "Summer homework, third grade, Chinese."

"Are you literate?" Fang Xiaoyuan was surprised. She thought that the children in the village didn't read and would just run wild in the dirt all day long.

"Of course, I'm also in the third grade." Zhou Yangyang said, a little triumphantly.  "I can understand your homework."

"What? You are also in the third grade?" Fang Xiaoyuan was dumbfounded, unable to believe that Zhou Yangyang was as old as herself.  He was thin and small, half a head shorter than her, and he didn't look like her peers at all.  She was shocked to hear the news, and even looked at Zhou Yangyang with more sympathy.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
