The night was a little cold, so she sneezed and her stomach growled.

I was so frightened by the danger in the afternoon that although the dinner was rich, I had no appetite.  At midnight, Feng Shizhen felt hungry.

There was only a hot water bottle in the room, not even a box of biscuits.  Feng Shizhen tossed and turned on the bed for a long time, thinking about the hot wonton noodles. He became more and more energetic as he thought about it, and had to get up in frustration.

She wrapped a scarf over her pajamas, wore soft-soled loafers, walked gently down the stairs, and groped towards the kitchen.

It was quiet in the big house, only the ticking of the pendulum echoed in the empty room.

There was a window in the small living room that was not closed properly, and the wind blew in and filled the corridor.  Feng Shizhen stood in front of the small living room door, looking at the flying window screen.  The last time she waited for an interview here was only three days ago, but it seemed like half a year had passed.

A hand stretched out from the darkness and covered Feng Shizhen's mouth.  Feng Shizhen reflexively pushed his elbow back hard, hitting the stomach of the person behind him hard.

¡°Hmm¡¡± The man groaned and cursed in a low voice.

When Feng Shizhen heard this voice, he was stunned, and then he was pulled around by the man and pressed against the wall.  The young man's breath was clean and warm, but his hand strength was not serious, and it pinched Feng Shizhen's arm painfully.

Feng Shizhen¡¯s eyebrows were knotted and he whispered: ¡°It hurts, please let go!¡±

Rong Jiashang let go of Feng Shizhen's arm, rested his hand on the wall, and stared at her intensely.

"Mr. Feng stayed up in the middle of the night, what are you looking for?"

    Gulu

Feng Shizhen¡¯s stomach answered on her behalf.

The dark night covered the embarrassment on Feng Shizhen's face, but it could not hide Rong Jiashang's sarcastic smile.

"You women pretend to be polite and refuse to eat during the day, but it turns out you stay until midnight to steal food."

Feng Shizhen chuckled twice: "Just kidding. Master, please help yourself. I'll go upstairs first."

"No." Rong Jiasheng grabbed Feng Shizhen's hand, "The Rong family can't even afford a midnight snack. Whatever you want to eat, sir, I will take you to get it."

After saying that, he took Feng Shizhen and headed towards the kitchen.

Feng Shizhen¡¯s eyes moved from the sharp-jointed palms clasping his wrists to the tall and broad back in front, and a complicated look passed through his eyes.

There was a stove left in the kitchen, with a pot of meat stewed on it. The rich aroma of the meat juice came out from the crack in the door and got into the noses of the two people outside, attracting the greedy people.

    Gulu, Gulu

This time it was Rong Jia¡¯s turn to feel her belly beat.

Feng Shizhen laughed, in return for his previous ridicule to him.

The footman who kept watch was sleeping next to the stove, snoring loudly.

The two quietly opened the door and slipped in. They had a tacit understanding and cooperated seamlessly.  Rong Jia picked up the meat pot, Feng Shizhen picked up two baguettes, and tiptoed towards the door.

Rong Jia was walking too fast and his foot hit a copper pot on the ground, making a clanging sound.

The footman's snoring stopped.  Both of them were holding hands in a cold sweat and stood frozen, not daring to move.

After a while, the footman turned over and continued to snore loudly.

Rong Jiashang breathed a sigh of relief and escaped from the kitchen with Feng Shizhen.

The footman on night watch was walking from the opposite side of the corridor, shaking his key, and was about to bump into him.

While Rong Jiashang was hesitating, Feng Shizhen gently pulled his arm and pulled him into the small staircase on the side of the building.  Rong Jia understood the idea and walked quietly to the third floor with Feng Shizhen.

"I" Feng Shizhen looked at the food in their hands, "I'll just eat some bread. The rest belongs to the young master."

"It's my family's stuff, and I still need you to distribute it?" Rong Jiashang scoffed, "It's really troublesome. Forget it, come with me!"

He tilted his head and motioned for Feng Shizhen to follow.

In the darkness, the profile of the young man was elegant and handsome, pleasing to the eye, but his expression was so arrogant and rude, which really made Feng Shizhen feel mixed emotions, and he couldn't explain it.

Rong Jiashang led Feng Shizhen to his bedroom door and pushed the door open with his shoulder.

The room is bright and bright.  Feng Shizhen closed her eyes uncomfortably and felt Rong Jiashang take the bread in her hand.

"Sit anywhere you want," Rong Jiashang said.

Feng Shizhen's eyes gradually adapted to the brightness, and he looked around the room, and couldn't help but widen his eyes in slight surprise.

Rong Jiashang??I will never forget the kindness of saving me from being shot today, and I will definitely repay you.  "

Feng Shizhen came back to his senses and said: "You also saved me, and we are even. As long as you take classes well from now on and don't make things difficult for me, I will be like Amitabha. It's getting late, have a good rest. Good night."

She smiled tenderly at Rong Jiashang under the moonlight, and her whole face was glowing.

"Good night." Rong Jiashang responded softly, watching Feng Shizhen's slim back disappear behind the door.

The sound of gentle footsteps gradually faded away.  Rong Jiashang sat alone on the floor, staring at the moonlight outside the window in a daze.

The grandfather clock began to ring one after another, and it rang twelve times, finally turning this long day over.

Rong Jiashang found the scarf Feng Shizhen left on the carpet.

It was a half-worn wide cashmere scarf, a small souvenir of that gentle woman¡¯s rich and generous life in the past.

Rong Jiashang couldn't help but put the scarf under his nose and sniffed it gently.  Feng Shizhen's faint soapy scent penetrated his heart and lungs.  #####(Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
