The man¡¯s head jerked back, blood and brain matter splashed from the back of his head to the wall, and his body fell softly.  His eyes were still staring in astonishment, and the expression of disbelief was permanently fixed on his lifeless face.

Rong Fanghua seemed to understand what had happened. She held Feng Shizhen's arms tighter and her whole body trembled violently.

Meng Xuan frowned deeply and took a step forward, "Shizhen"

Feng Shizhen turned around suddenly and pointed the gun at Meng Xu'an's head.

A group of thugs outside shouted loudly and pointed their guns at Feng Shizhen and Rong Fanghua in her arms.

The dull winter thunder came from the distant sky, like a millstone rolling by.  The rain suddenly became heavy and washed over the earth.  Waves of damp chill poured in from the open door, diluting the thick smell of blood in the room.

Meng Xu'an calmly faced Feng Shizhen's gun and said: "I will never condone them to abuse women."

"Is there any difference?" Feng Shizhen asked, "Look, you think you are omnipotent, but you can't even restrain your subordinates. Do you still think you can control everything?"

Meng Xu'an took a deep breath and said, "You can't kill me, Shizhen. Put down the gun, and I'll have someone take you back."

Feng Shizhen's eyes were burning with red flames, the hand holding the gun was trembling, and his eyes were filled with rage.  She breathed rapidly, exerting all her strength to endure it, her teeth were numb, and even a trace of rust spread in her mouth.

    Finally, she lowered her hand.

¡°Give me the car keys. I¡¯ll go by myself!¡±

"Okay." Meng Xuan said.  As soon as he raised his hand, someone handed over the car keys.

In the pouring rain, Feng Shizhen stepped on the accelerator and turned the steering wheel skillfully.  The car honked its horn angrily, roared out of the iron gate, and rushed into the thick rainy night.

Rong Fanghua curled up in the passenger seat, tightly wrapped in a blanket, crying silently.

Feng Shizhen looked at the dark road ahead and said softly: "Don't be afraid, you are safe. But I have to send you to the hospital first. You are injured and you need to let the doctor look at you."

"No!" Rong Fanghua shouted in horror, "I don't want it! Don't let others know!"

Feng Shizhen slowed down the car and touched Rong Fanghua's head with his free hand, coaxing her and saying: "You bled a lot. If you don't see a doctor, you will get sick. When the time comes, you won't be able to hide it either."  Hua, you didn't do anything wrong, so don't make it difficult for yourself because of other people's sins. I'll take you to the Red House Hospital. My elder brother is on duty today. I will keep it a secret for you."

Rong Fanghua burst into tears, grabbing Feng Shizhen's hand like a drowning man grabbing a piece of driftwood, wailing loudly.

"Why me? Why do they do this to me? How can I survive now?"

Feng Shizhen also choked up, held her hand hard, and said in a hoarse voice: "There is no reason for evil people to do evil. You are not wrong, you are innocent. In this world, no matter poor or rich, women are eternal  Weak. That's why you can't give up on yourself. The harder it is, the more you have to go on, walk confidently and gracefully. What happened this night has hurt your body, so don't let it destroy your soul. You will be in the future  Do what you want to do and become the person of your dreams. You are brighter and better than those. Hold on, Fang Hua. I know you are a brave and good boy."

Rong Fanghua held Feng Shizhen¡¯s hand tightly with both hands and burst into tears.

At midnight, the door of Renji Hospital was crowded with reporters holding cameras, as if flies had smelled blood, swarming in from all directions in Shanghai.  The car Rong Jiashang was riding in was surrounded by people as soon as it arrived. The spotlights were shining one after another, and the chaotic questions were like raindrops hitting the car window.

The driver honked his horn frantically and opened a path through the crowd.  Rong Jia's chiseled face looked increasingly gloomy and handsome under the flashing spotlight.  The bodyguards held umbrellas to protect the young master, squeezed through the crowd, and sent him into the hospital gate.

"Young Master Rong, is tonight's assassination aimed at you?"

"Mr. Xiaorong, who is the young lady who saved you?"

"How do you deal with this situation? Is the other party an enemy of the Rong family?"

"Would you still buy that golden unicorn?"

Rong Jiashang ignored the noisy questions behind him and strode into the hospital covered in moisture.  Zhao Huaan's deputy came to pick him up, sweating profusely, and led him to the door of the operating room on the second floor.

The corridor in front of the operating room was crowded with people.  Mrs. RongRong Fanglin was sitting on the bench, mother and daughter wrapped in a big blanket and shivering.  Rong Fanglin seemed to be overly frightened, his expression was numb, and his face was turning pale.  Wu Yunchi was standing at the window, smoking a cigarette irritably. When he saw Rong Jia coming up, he looked guilty.

Zhao Huaan was holding a pipe in his mouth and looked as fierce as a trapped animal. None of his subordinates dared to approach him.

Seeing Rong Jia come up, Mrs. Rong breathed a sigh of relief and cried: "Jia Shang, now the whole family depends on you!"

No matter how much I dislike my stepson, he is also the only adult male in the family after his husband.  Now that Rong Dingkun's life or death is uncertain, the only one he can rely on is Rong Jia.

"Your father is in the operating room." Zhao Huaan tilted his head toward the lit operating room, glanced at Mrs. Rong who was crying and lost her mind, and said in a low voice, "He was shot in the chest. His condition is not good.  . The director is an acquaintance, and he specially called one of the best German doctors to come over for surgery. However, the hospital still issued a critical illness notice and asked us to prepare."

Rong Jia¡¯s face was stern, and he clenched his teeth, ¡°Is it the Meng family?¡±

Zhao Huaan smiled bitterly: "It's really not the case. Your father had a conflict with a small policeman, and the other party's gun went off."

The dignified head of the Rong family actually had a conflict with a small patrolman in order to escape?

Rong Jiashang felt very embarrassed and was too embarrassed to continue asking.

"Jia Shang," Zhao Hua'an said, "Second uncle, let me ask you a question. If it doesn't suit you, you don't have to answer. You asked someone to set up an ambush in advance. How come we didn't know about it?"

"I'm just being more careful." Rong Jiashang said calmly, "Dad is focused on the Hashimoto family and has no time for him to care. But I think this matter can be big or small. I'm not afraid of ten thousand, just afraid  What if the Hashimoto family ignores us? I didn¡¯t expect that the Hashimoto family would be fine, but it was the Meng family who took action. Uncle Zhao won¡¯t be unhappy because I didn¡¯t tell you, right? "

"Of course not." Zhao Huaan chuckled dryly, "Thanks to you for being prepared for what happened today, otherwise everyone might have been involved in it."

"Uncle Zhao, thank you for the award." Rong Jiashang said calmly and politely, "Thanks to your quick reaction for saving my wife and Fang Lin."

Bright incandescent lights were projected from the ceiling, casting clear shadows on Rong Jia's chiseled face, making him look even more grim and gloomy.  But his tall and strong body always maintained an upright posture, like a towering green pine. When everyone was panicking, he stood up to support the crumbling home.

Zhao Huaan looked at the young man in front of him with a deep frown, as if looking at a young male wolf who was about to replace the alpha wolf.

He still remembered that when he met Rong Jiashang half a year ago, the young man was still a delicate and willful big boy.  On the surface, Rong Jiashang at that time had all the diseases of wealth that are common to wealthy children of his age: sensitive, arrogant, and unruly.  At first, Zhao Huaan only thought of him as a cynical young man who had experienced some hardships. He thought he was omnipotent, but in fact he was still just a flower in the greenhouse.  Zhao Huaan has seen many such young masters.  As long as they are allowed to experience a little real training, they will cry for mercy.

But the more he came into contact with Rong Jiashang, the more he realized that Rong Jiashang was indeed Rong Dingkun¡¯s son.  The cunningness that is good at disguise is innate and inherited from blood.  He uses his beautiful face and arrogant behavior as a mask to make people lower their guard, and then gives them an unexpected blow.

In just a few months, before anyone else could react, this young man had already shed his youthful body and grown into an adult man who could stand upright.  Zhao Huaan was secretly frightened by his almost identical approach to his father's actions.  #####(Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
