    This season, due to Wang Dalin's "intrusion", the Heat have been very different from the original time and space, and their offensive tactics have become much richer.

    In the original time and space, the Heat did play well this season, and even ranked third in the Eastern Conference with a record of 50 wins and 32 losses.

    With the "spirit of the team" Alonzo Mourning only playing 13 regular season games due to kidney disease, the Heat only won 2 fewer games this season than last season. It has to be said that Pat Riley, the "magic calculator"  "It is indeed well-deserved.

    But to be honest, basketball in the 1990s was really ugly!

    More than half of the teams in the league play at an extremely slow pace, averaging only 60-70 shots per game. The court is filled with the sound of muscles clashing among inside players, as well as continuous fouls, small moves and trash talk

    To be honest, although the Heat reached third place in the Eastern Conference in the original time and space, they were not welcomed by president David Stern at all - "It's so ugly, what do you want me to do to attract more fans?"  ?¡±

    But the situation has changed in this life, and the Heat's game is better.

    Because Wang Dalin¡¯s mid-range jump shooting ability is ¡°very good¡±, Riley specially designed several sets of cover tactics for him to facilitate him to temporarily get rid of the opponent¡¯s defense when catching the ball in the mid-range.

    Some fans will say: Wang Dalin¡¯s shooting percentage is just over 47%. As an inside player, he seems to be unqualified, right?

    Yes, although the shooting percentage of outside players is generally not high these days, the shooting percentage of inside players is still basically 50%.

    After all, the closer you are to the basket, the easier it is to score. This is an eternal truth!

    Butif you exclude Wang Dalin's shots from outside the three-point line and the three-second zone, you will find that his mid-range shooting percentage is as high as 50.5%.  This hit rate is really not low, it is not an exaggeration to even call him a "CIC handsome boy"!

    So since the Heat's "run and gun battle" against the Lakers on December 20, 2000, Riley has often arranged for his teammates to provide pick-and-roll screens for Wang Dalin during the game.

    Due to the tilt of tactical resources, Wang Dalin's average shots per game increased by at least 3 times, and his average points per game also increased a lot.

    On January 7, the Heat played against the Celtics. Wang Dalin played for 30 minutes and made 10 of 21 shots, including 2 of 4 three-pointers, 8 of 10 free throws, and scored 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.  .

    This game was the first time in Wang Dalin¡¯s career that he scored 30 points in a single game, and it was also the first time he had a ¡°double-double¡±.

    Being able to get 30 minutes of playing time is of course inseparable from Riley's growing trust in him, but it is mainly because Eddie Jones is injured.

    It was this game. Less than three minutes into the game, Eddie Jones sprained his ankle while trying to grab an offensive rebound and was forced to leave the game.

    So Wang Dalin got more opportunities in this game. Even the rookie Eddie House played 15 minutes. After all, Hardaway's knee injury was not optimistic. He only played in this game and could not play.  to 20 minutes.

    Fortunately, the Heat still won the game, and it was a big victory, with a score of 112:86.

    The day after the game, Eddie Jones¡¯s MRI report came out. He had a first-degree sprain of his left ankle joint and needed to recover for at least 2-3 weeks, maybe longer.

    Eddie Jones is currently averaging 18.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. He is the current "scoring leader" of the Heat. His absence is undoubtedly bad news for the team.

    Having no choice but to mention Bruce Bowen to the starting lineup, Riley hopes that his excellent defensive ability can bring some help to the team.

    It would be okay if only Jones was absent. After all, everyone has seen Wang Dalin's progress during this period, and everyone believes that the team's record will not be greatly affected.

    But Grant was injured again during the home game against the Warriors on January 9th!

    He suffered a serious shoulder muscle strain and will need to recuperate for at least 4 weeks. This is simply adding insult to injury for the Heat.

    Riley has even mentioned Duane Causwell, the backup center, to the starting lineup, and together with Wang Dalin, he has supported the Heat's currently weak inside line.

    The Heat won the game against the Warriors, but they suffered an unprecedented four-game losing streak later.

    On January 11, the Heat lost to the Celtics in an away game, with a score of 78:88;

    On January 14, the Heat faced the Pacers away from home and suffered a losing streak, with a score of 71:87;

    On January 15, the Heat lost to the Bulls at home, with a score of 90:88;

    On January 17, the Heat lost to the Pistons at home with a score of 86.?83.

    In these four games, Tim Hardaway averaged 17.5 points and 9.5 assists per game, Anthony Mason averaged 19 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, and Wang Dalin averaged 16.5 points and 8 rebounds per game. They tried their best, but they still lost the game.

    Without the two generals Eddie Jones and Brian Grant, the Heat's strength has indeed declined, and both offense and defense have dropped by at least one level.

    Causwell is just a backup center. He averages only 3.5 points per game. How can he replace Grant, who averages 14.8 points per game?

    And Eddie Jones averages 18.2 points per game, who can fill such a big scoring gap?

    After four consecutive losses, Riley mentioned Eddie House to the main rotation. This rookie is always full of fighting spirit, and his impact is very good, but his shooting ability is too high, and he is far from growing into the future Boston.  That excellent backup guard next to the Big Three.

    On January 19th, the Heat challenged the Trail Blazers away from home. The two sides played a very fierce game.

    On the one hand, the Heat have suffered four consecutive losses, and they really cannot afford to lose.

    On the other hand, the Trail Blazers have struggled this season and are currently ranked eighth in the Western Conference. They are only 1 game ahead of the ninth-ranked Rockets. Losing any game may cause them to fall out of the top eight in the Western Conference.

    The two sides fought hard in this game

    Tim Hardaway¡¯s breakthrough layup was slapped in the face by Rasheed Wallace. He was hit on the spot with a broken brow bone and blood flowing all over his face.

    When Arvydas Sabonis was fighting for a rebound, Coswell hugged him and threw him straight to the floor. He almost died on the spot.

    Anthony Mason stepped up under the basket, but was hit in the heart by Bunchy Wells with an elbow. He came off the court and took a full half-quarter to recover.

    Scottie Pippen "accidentally" stepped on Bruce Bowen's foot when he landed a mid-range jumper, spraining his ankle and being replaced.

    ¡¡

    No doubt, this is the NBA in the 1990s and the NBA in the early 21st century. This is how they "played" basketball at that time.

    Wang Dalin dared to use his handsome face to bet that if he did not have a comprehensive durability of 99, he would probably have to stop playing due to injury after playing 10 games.

    Although the game was full of gunpowder, the players from both sides still did not fight after all. The game finally ended with a stumbling block. In the end, the Heat won with difficulty 82:78.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
