When spring came, Chen Qiao planted a patch of taro at the door. He said it was "planting", but in fact he just dug a hole in the ground and threw the taro directly into it. He hoped that there would be some harvest in autumn.

He tied sharp stones to wooden sticks to make a simple axe. When he was using this ax to chop down trees, he suddenly remembered the passage about cavemen in his previous textbook.

When he looked at the photos in the textbooks, those crude production tools, he would unconsciously feel a sense of superiority as a modern person.  How crude and backward these things are, and how advanced the world is now. Maybe he didn't realize his thoughts at the time, but this understanding did exist.

Now he has truly come to such a world, using the simplest tools, eating the roughest food, and living in a stone house without windows.  He finally understood one thing, that is, human civilization has been able to continuously improve various production technologies after thousands of years of accumulation.  But this does not mean that human wisdom has improved a lot with the development of history. Whether it is Dilla, Maisie or Kevin, they are no stupider than Chen Qiao.

Life is not good just because tools are too scarce.  People have limited thinking simply because the world they see is only so big.

Chen Qiao disagrees with Dilla going hunting with Kevin. Although the child is anxious to do something for everyone, after all, he is still too young, not yet nine years old.

On this day, Kevin brought back several small wild boars. Chen Qiao built a rough but strong fence around the creek and kept the wild boars inside.  Teach Dilla how to recognize several kinds of pigweed. From then on, the wild boar became a domestic pig, and Dilla also got his first job.

A few days later, Kevin brought back some pheasants. Chen Qiao used stones to chop off a few long and hard feathers on the pheasant wings and put them in the fence to raise them together.  Then the two of them, Dila, used branches and vines to surround a small area of ??land around the big trees next to the house to serve as a chicken coop, and also built a rain shelter.

Every day from now on, Dilla would take Maixi to hunt pigweed and catch bugs, while Ada would go hunting with Kevin. Chen Qiao would sometimes take care of the taro in the field, remove weeds, and sometimes go to the beach to pick up some.  Seafood is back.

When the sun went down, he walked towards the hut. Maixi saw Chen Qiao from afar, and ran towards him, swinging her round butt.

"Daddy, daddy" He opened his mouth and called Chen Qiao as he ran.

"Well, you're so good." He bent down and picked up the little one. This scene happened every day, which made him feel very warm, and the hard work of the day was gone.

"Dad, what is this?" He couldn't speak very fluently now, but he was very curious when he looked at the red fruit that Chen Qiao brought back wrapped in lotus leaves.

"This, it's sweet." Chen Qiao liked his greedy little cat-like expression very much, and couldn't help but make some delicious and fun things to please him.

As a result, when the child heard that it was sweet, he stretched out his hand to grab it. He had eaten some honey a while ago, and it was so sweet that it made him smile. Now when he heard that it was sweet, he was excited.  Chen Qiao raised his hand and hid. This thing must be soaked in salt water before it can be given to children.

So for the next time, Maixi pulled Chen Qiao's thigh and refused to leave. After the strawberries were soaked in salt water, Chen Qiao asked Maixi: "Do you want to share it with me?"

"No." Xiao Dodian's answer was decisive and decisive.

"Really, what should I do if my brother doesn't like Maisie in the future?"

"Well" So the boy began to hesitate. After all, his brother takes him to play every day, and he loves him, but

"Oh, this fruit looks really good. What if Xiaomaixi wants to finish it alone? Dilla wants to eat it too"

"Brother, brother, eat, eat" The kid finally decided to call his brother over and let the two of them eat together. Seeing his back running away, Chen Qiao smiled happily.

Usually they are too busy and have no time to discipline their children. A person's temperament and character are formed at a very young age. He does not want this child to grow up to be a big man who shakes the world and weeps ghosts and gods, but there are some qualities he must possess.  For example, be generous and not selfish.

While he was thinking, he pinched a fruit and threw it into his mouth. He said that this kind of wild fruit is still so delicious, sour and sweet.

"Dad doesn't eat, Xixi's." After eating less than two, he was caught. Chen Qiao complained about his bad luck, and lamented that the education work just now was in vain.

The two brothers sat on the stone under the big tree next to the house with fruits. You and I ate each fruit happily, Chen ??Dissatisfaction: Two little white-eyed wolves!

Ada knows how to make pottery. The tribe they lived in before used a lot of pottery pots and the like. Basically, the women in the tribe knew how to make these things. The only difference was the level of craftsmanship.  Widow Ada is very capable, and her craftsmanship is among the best in the tribe.

In the spring, Ada bought a lot of pottery for the home. She found clay suitable for making pots at the foot of a nearby mountain.

There has been a lot of rain these days, and there are a lot of mushrooms growing on the mountain. Except for some brightly colored Chen Qiao, I picked them all back home, and then threw a few of each kind into the chicken coop for the pheasants to try first.  It turns out that common mountain mushrooms are non-toxic.

Chen Qiao picked a lot of small mushrooms that day and dug up some wild onions. He had eaten this kind of wild onions before. The leaves were very thin and long, and the onions were also small. It was very troublesome to wash, but it tasted really delicious.  .

Kevin brought back another pheasant today, but it was injured and difficult to raise.  They killed the chicken, washed the mushrooms and green onions, and put the clay pot on the fire to make a can of chicken soup.  The pheasant meat is very chewy and cooked very well. When you take a bite, even the skin and meat are fresh and sweet.  The soup has a strong aroma of mushrooms and green onions, which is indescribably delicious.

Little Maixi ate a large bowl by herself, and her belly was bulging and round.  He was probably a little tired after eating too much, so he leaned against his brother and hummed, and fell asleep after a while.

Dilla is very sensible now. After his brother fell asleep, he moved him to the mat in the house and covered him with animal skins.  Then let a few adults rest first and pack up the fire and clay pots and tableware.

The sun has gone down, and the golden clouds in the sky are mixed with blue. Chen Qiao leaned under the tree and looked at Dilla's busy figure.

Such a sensible child, how could I be willing to let you live like this in your life.
