It is worth mentioning that the reason why China was able to receive the news of the Japanese military plane taking off so quickly was thanks to one person - an American!

This person is just an unknown Air Force colonel now, but he will be a big shot that shocks the world in the near future. This person is none other than Chennault, the founder of the American Air Force to China, and the Air Force he created  It is what we know as the "Flying Tigers".

But that¡¯s all in the future. At this time, Chennault is not as prosperous as people imagined!

Due to Chennault¡¯s personal temper and other reasons, the relationship between Chennault and his superiors and colleagues was not very harmonious, so Chennault was not very happy in the US Air Force.

Although his flying skills are very high, and he is the best among all the navy, air force, army air force, and even the full-time combat air force in the entire United States of America, he has never been promoted.  He is just a second lieutenant in the Air Force, which is extremely rare in the entire US military.

However, when Chennault was in dire straits, he was spotted by the Kuomintang government observer group during an air show and was hired to China with a high salary.

Chennault¡¯s task was to guide the Chinese Air Force in training, and he also became the personal advisor to Mrs. Chiang Kai-shek, who was in charge of the Air Force.

And Chennault, a consultant, is also quite competent. He only did three things after coming to China, but each of them greatly improved the strength of the Chinese Air Force.

The first thing was the application of Chennault's new air combat theory and tactics. He believed that the popular "dogfight" tactics at that time were tantamount to suicide in fighting Japanese aircraft, so he combined the advantages and disadvantages of Chinese Air Force aircraft and invented new offensive tactics, namely  Pilots would fly into battle in pairs, dive, shoot, pull up and get out of the fight, then dive again if possible.

The second is the establishment of an air defense system. In view of the weakness of the Chinese air force, Chennault suggested that the Nationalist Government establish an effective air defense early warning system so that air attacks by enemy aircraft can be warned in advance.

Although Chairman Chiang's strategic vision is not very good, the government still has some capable people. Jiang Qianli and Chen Cheng, who have extremely keen strategic vision, both agreed with Chennault's suggestion. In the end, Chiang Kai-shek finally made the decision to establish a pervasive network starting from the front line in Shanghai.  Air defense early warning system for the entire Jiangnan region.

This air defense early warning network is based on long-distance telephone communication networks laid by various provinces and cities. There are 205 air defense surveillance teams, 1,445 surveillance posts and 104 independent surveillance posts.  In this way, no matter where the Japanese aircraft appears, the Chinese Air Force will soon know its exact location and take off in advance to fight.

After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, this early warning system played a great role.

Third, Chennault suggested that the Chinese government build a large number of airports. Subsequently, the Chinese people were mobilized and built a large number of new airports in the barren mountains for the use of the Chinese Air Force.

The numerous airports provide great convenience to the Chinese Air Force and are also a reliable guarantee for victory by surprise.

The Chinese Air Force can covertly take off from the newly built airport, launch a surprise attack without enemy aircraft noticing, then land at another airport to replenish fuel and ammunition, and then take off again for a new battle.

As the plane took off from Wangjiadun Airport, everyone in the Air Navigation Commission Building became worried, because taking off a plane to fight is not just a fun trip. Every time a plane takes off, there may be huge casualties.

??For more than half a year, the weak Air Force has been under tremendous pressure almost every day, and someone will die in almost every battle.

Basically all the old batch of pilots have been killed, leaving only a few people such as Liu Zhesheng. The new pilots are still lagging behind the Japanese aviation force due to limited training time and lack of combat experience, so they include  Everyone, including everyone, does not have much confidence in the Chinese Air Force.

However, some things are like this, you know you can¡¯t do it, but you have to do it!

Just like the current war, there is a huge gap between China and Japan in both military and national strength. However, in the face of the little devil's attempt to subjugate the country and exterminate the species, the Chinese must stand up and fight even if they know they are losing.

The same is true for the Chinese Air Force. Even though they know that every time they take off, they may turn into a fallen eagle, but still no one retreats.

What is even more touching is that many of them are only sons in the family, and many of them are the children of officials with strong family backgrounds. They even came to the Air Force not for combat, but for gold plating. As a result, war broke out.

To be honest, all senior officials including Zhou Zhirou and Mao BangchuNo one at the higher levels thought that these dandy second generation ancestors could have such a bloody spirit, but the result was that they would rather die in battle than quit the Air Force.

This is the Chinese military, a group forged with blood and life!

Since the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, we have always paid attention to the gains and losses of the ground forces of the army, and rarely paid attention to the battles between the sea and air arms!

In fact, although these two arms are indeed weak compared to their enemies, they fought extremely bravely. The Navy has the brutality of the Jiangyin naval battle, and the Air Force has the pride of the Air Force.

Since the outbreak of the war, among the three armed forces under the Nationalist Government, the Air Force has performed best.

Although China was hit by internal and external shocks before the outbreak of the war, the social systems of all countries collapsed due to serious out-of-touch with the times, and warlords in various places were fighting. Therefore, China began to resist the war without building a complete aviation industry.

As far as the Air Force is concerned, its strength is still extremely weak, and more importantly, it does not have a complete development plan.  In fact, judging from the gap in national strength, it is impossible to have any plans!

Anyway, the National Government, like the backward and corrupt Manchu Qing government, believed in the concept that it is better to buy than to build, and almost all aircraft needed to be imported.

In addition to the need to import aircraft, supporting anti-aircraft guns, searchlights, equipment, transportation and communication facilities, as well as support and maintenance of all aircraft, aviation gasoline, and lubricants need to be purchased.

Therefore, before the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the Chinese Air Force had only 9 brigades and 35 squadrons, 600 pilots, more than 230 mechanical maintenance personnel, and 305 combat aircraft.

Even so, Air Force heroes emerged in large numbers throughout the war. First, Shen Chonghai, captain of the Second Battalion, and bomber Chen Xichun flew their planes from an altitude of 2,000 meters and rammed a Japanese ship, perishing with the enemy.

They were also the first pilots in the world to fly a plane to carry out suicide attacks. They set a precedent and set an example for the Japanese army to carry out suicide attacks in the Pacific battlefield in the future!

Afterwards, Yan Haiwen, who was injured and forced to land, was surrounded by the Japanese army. He resisted with a pistol and kept the last bullet for himself!

Li Wenyun of the 9th Brigade was injured and fell. He used his own blood to write a blood letter on the windshield to give me back my country.

In the first three months of the war, the Chinese Air Force shot down and damaged 271 Japanese aircraft, an impressive record.  However, its own losses were extremely heavy, with 202 aircraft shot down, 112 damaged, and 122 pilots killed.

By the beginning of this year, with the death of Li Guidan in action, all the four great kings of the Chinese Air Force were killed in action. This is so heroic.

At this time, the plane took off again. Zhou Zhirou and others did not know that several generals would be killed today. The current Chinese Air Force could no longer withstand too many casualties.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
