With the cover of the two major battlefields in Northeast and North China, Li Guoyao's troops quietly completed the takeover of weapons and equipment on the Sino-Mongolian border.

The Soviet Union provided Li Guoyao with a large amount of weapons and equipment this time, which can fully equip six infantry divisions with light weapons, including 60,000 Mosin-Nagant rifles, 5,000 Nagant M1895 revolvers, and 3,000 TT  -33 pistols, two thousand PPD series submachine guns, 1,200 Maxim M1910 heavy machine guns, DP 7.62 mm light machine guns, 500 anti-tank guns and 100 rocket launchers.

In terms of artillery, the Soviets provided Li Guoyao with a total of 200 small-caliber mortars, 45 45mm19k anti-tank guns, and 24 76mm field guns.

In addition, there is a large amount of ammunition and maintenance equipment, as well as 240 Soviet staff.

When Wang Zhanhai, who was responsible for receiving this batch of equipment, telegraphed all the weapons lists to the Northeast Front, Li Guoyao was a little shocked after reading it.

In Li Guoyao's view, even if the Soviets want to assist the advancing army, they may give them some obsolete weapons, and it is impossible to give them active weapons and equipment.

But I never thought that while some of these weapons and equipment have been eliminated or are about to be eliminated, many of them are new equipment.

Among these weapons and equipment, 60,000 Mosin-Nagant rifles are the absolute protagonists. This type of rifle is a bolt-action rifle named jointly by the designer Russian Army Colonel Mosin and Belgian firearms designer Nagant. It is also known as  For the Mosin rifle.

The Mosin-Nagant rifle served as the standard weapon of the Soviet army from the Tsarist Russia until the end of World War II. Various models of Mosin-Nagant rifles were used from the Russo-Japanese War to the first and second world wars.  It has been put into use, and it appeared in the Vietnam War and even the Afghanistan War.

The M1891/30 infantry rifle model of the Mosin-Nagant rifle used by the Soviet Union to assist the Northeastern advance is no worse than the Little Devil's 38 rifle in terms of performance. It can even be used as a rifle by adding a PU scope to the 1891/30 rifle.  Sniper rifle used.

In addition to rifles, it is worth mentioning the ppd submachine gun. There are currently two ppd submachine guns in the Soviet Union, namely ppd-34 and ppd-34/38. The main difference between the two is the heat dissipation vent. ppd-34/38 is better than ppd-34  longer.

PPD is a 7.62mm submachine gun manufactured by the Soviet Union in 1934.  This gun was first improved from the early version ppd-34 to the mid-term version ppd-34/38 and the later version ppd-40, firing 7.62x25mm Tokarev pistol ammunition.

Due to the PPD being too complex and expensive to produce, although it was used in the early part of World War II, it was replaced by the superior and cheaper PPS-41 in 1941. During this period, approximately 90,000 PPDs of various models were produced.  .

At present, the Soviet army mostly uses the ppsh-41 submachine gun, which is the famous Bobosha submachine gun. The relatively backward ppd has been eliminated, so it was supported by the Soviets to China.

Similar to the ppd submachine gun, there is the Maxim M1910 heavy machine gun. This heavy machine gun is also known as the PM M1910 Maxim. It is a derivative of the Maxim machine gun developed by Hiram Maxim. It fires 7.62 x 54 mm ammunition and is equipped with a wheel.  Shooting rack.

In 1904, the Russo-Japanese War broke out, although Tsarist Russia failed in the war.  However, the huge lethality of the Maxim heavy machine guns equipped by the Tsarist Russian army against the Japanese army left a huge impression on the army.  Therefore, more attention is paid to the development and production of machine guns, and more strategic resources are invested in this field.

Therefore, the Tsarist Russian army further improved the Maxim M1905 heavy machine gun.  The cooling method is changed from water-cooling to air-cooling. The cooling water cylinders are all made of steel and have convex and concave patterns on the surface to prevent expansion and contraction.  It was officially equipped with Tsarist Russia in 1910 and named Maxim M1910 heavy machine gun.  It was one of the weapons of the Russian Army in World War I and the Soviet Red Army in World War II. It was replaced by the SG-43 machine gun in 1943.

Another thing worth mentioning is the DP-type 7.62mm light machine gun, which is also called a "rotary machine gun" because of its large bullet disc.

The rotary machine gun has a simple structure. There are only 65 parts in the whole gun. The manufacturing process is not high. Even an apprentice can make it. It is suitable for mass production. The mechanism of the gun is reliable. It can be regarded as an excellent machine gun, at least.  It's much better than the little devil's tricks.

Coupled with anti-tank guns, anti-tank guns, field guns, etc., all in all, this batch of weapons and equipment is much stronger than Li Guoyao expected.

What¡¯s even more considerate is that the Soviets also knew that the Chinese had limited industrial production capacity, so they directly provided the troops with 150 million rounds of ammunition in the early stage, which meant that each rifle was equipped with 200 rounds of ammunition.

In addition, each firearm is equipped with an ammunition production line, and these supplies have also arrived in Chabei at the same time.

Considering that Li Guoyao¡¯s department did not have that many qualified technicians, the Soviet Union also? One hundred mechanical engineers were mobilized from the Far East Military Region to assist Li Guoyao's headquarters in building an ammunition production plant.

And Li Guoyao did not disappoint the Soviets. The tens of thousands of troops undergoing training in the Xilinhot area immediately changed their equipment and then rushed from the eastern grasslands to the northeastern region.

Let¡¯s talk about the battle on the front line of Chifeng and Tongliao. During this period, the first column withdrew to the Aershan area to rest and recuperate, while the second, third, and fourth columns fought and stopped with the Japanese troops on the front lines of Tongliao, Chifeng, and Zhengjiatun.

On the surface, it seems that the Japanese army is attacking, but in fact, the two sides basically will not fight head-on.  Often when the Japanese troops came to attack, the Northeastern advance troops would immediately flee.

"As soon as the Japanese troops withdrew, they came back again to attack the advancing troops. It was completely hide-and-seek.

¡°However, in terms of strategic initiative, it is in the hands of the Japanese army. Therefore, from the perspective of the Kwantung Army headquarters, they have the absolute upper hand.

The Japanese army also has a certain understanding of the main forces of the Northeastern Advance. It was previously thought that this army was capable of annihilating the Ninth Division, but now it seems that in addition to being somewhat capable in escaping, in terms of combat  Their quality and weapons and equipment were far behind those of the Imperial Japanese Army.

Under this circumstance, Yamada Otsuzo ordered the Japanese and puppet troops on the Chifeng front line in Tongliao to speed up and annihilate this woodchuck-like Chinese army on the western front.

However, what the Japanese and puppet troops didn't know was that this was just a strategy formulated by Li Guoyao to contain the enemy. The longer the Japanese army was contained on the western front, the more Wang Lijuan's troops in the hinterland would be able to gain a firm foothold, and the faster the troops would develop.

In less than a month and a half from the beginning of January to the end of February, Wang Lijuan's headquarters had established a firm foothold in 11 counties in the hinterland of the Puppet Manchukuo, and the headquarters had grown from the previous 40,000 to 60,000.

On February 25, Lu Zhanwu arrived at Yushu with a large amount of weapons and equipment, and all of this equipment will be equipped for the eastward column.

With the arrival of Lu Zhanwu, the eastward column immediately integrated its combat capabilities.

Soon, under Lu Zhanwu's drastic integration, dozens of relatively scattered infantry brigades were quickly integrated into 15 integrated regiments of 3,000 people, and then a large number of directly affiliated troops were established, including two regiments of motorized cavalry.  As well as a regiment of artillery, a regiment of engineers and a regiment of anti-aircraft troops.

After completing the integration of combat power, Lu Zhanwu proposed a plan to develop in Liaoyuan, Tonghua and other places in southern Manchuria, and immediately received the support of Li Guoyao.

However, Li Guoyao did not order Lu Zhanwu's troops to take action immediately. Instead, he asked them to prepare secretly. He wanted to clean up the Japanese and puppet troops on the western front first. On the one hand, he gave the Soviets an explanation, and on the other hand, he also wanted to clear up the Japanese and puppet troops in the southern Manchuria area.  The Japanese and puppet troops mobilized another part to create opportunities for Lu Zhanwu's troops to move south.

¡°Subsequently, the Western Front campaign plan formulated by Li Guoyao himself was freshly released and distributed to all troops on the Western Front.

At the same time, Chen Jianzhong rushed to the Chifeng area with a regiment of cavalry to command operations on the western front.
