Alert rings.  Lin Rui quickly sat up from the bed and put on his clothes almost reflexively.  Then he folded his quilt into tofu blocks as quickly as possible.  After doing all this, he suddenly realized that he didn't need to get up so early at all.  There is no need to fold the quilt on the bed into square tofu pieces.

Because he has retired from the army.  And he always realizes this after doing all this every day.

Yes, I'm back.  He returned to the city where he had been separated for several years. He was born here, studied here, and met the girl he first liked.  It all seems a little strange now.  Although, he has only been away for two years.

Lin Rui shook his head, as if to shake away the chaotic thoughts from his mind.

He's tired enough.  My mother passed away early, and my father also passed away last year due to an accident.  What he was left with was a pile of unpaid debts and an elderly grandfather.  And he had just returned home from the army.

It¡¯s time to go out and find a job.  Lin Rui sighed, took out his old suit from the closet, and put it on, but he always felt uncomfortable with the open collar and no style buttons.

After he packed up, he pushed the door open and walked out, but he was slightly stunned by a few acquaintances who came face to face.  "Uncle Zhang, what are you"

"Xiao Rui, you just came back, so I was embarrassed to come to you about this matter. However, these IOUs from your father." Uncle Zhang had an awkward expression on his face.  After all, he is Lin Rui's father's friend.

But others were not so polite. They complained directly, expressing intentionally or unintentionally that their family was financially strapped, which indirectly meant asking Lin Rui to pay back the money as soon as possible.

Lin Rui was silent for a moment and nodded, "I understand. I know your purpose of coming, but I really haven't paid you yet. Even if you block the door and don't let me out, I still don't have the money to pay you back."  Why don't you let me go out to find a job? As long as I have a job, I will find a way to pay back your money slowly. The only thing I have worth now is this house. Even if I sell it, it won't be worth much, and  Where do we live?¡±

Several people at the door became quiet, and although they were a little reluctant, they still let Lin Rui go out.  They all know the current situation of the Lin family.

    "Thank you!" Lin Rui nodded.

No one likes creditors, but Lin Rui doesn't hate them either.  They are just ordinary people who want to get back what originally belongs to them, that's all.  What's more, many of them are friends of their father.  They helped the Lin family when their father's business failed.  Lin Rui knew that he owed them not only money, but also favors.

But whoever it is?  It's always uncomfortable to encounter something like this so early in the morning.  Lin Rui tidied his clothes and tried to adjust his mentality.  He was going to have an interview today, and he didn't want to bring a bad mood with him.  He took a deep breath of the chilly morning air, tried his best to smile, and walked out of the alley.

He was going to interview with a security company.  Being a security guard doesn't sound like a good job.  But finding a job is not an easy task. It would be great to get a response from the resume he submitted, but most of them were like nothing, so Lin Rui thought he should give it a try. He found the company according to the address.

In the office building where this company is located, Lin Rui found the person responsible for interviewing him.

There seemed to be no one else, and it didn¡¯t look like there were many people applying.  Lin Rui shook his head secretly, but even though he had come, he still walked into the office patiently.  The person in charge of interviewing him was a middle-aged man in his forties and a little overweight.

"My surname is Wang. You can just call me Director Wang." The middle-aged man looked through the resume on the table and said to Lin Rui, "Sit down, Lin Rui. I have learned about your situation. In terms of height and appearance,  There is no problem. It should be suitable for our work. But I still have some details to learn about. Are you a veteran, retired this year?"

    "Yes." Lin Rui nodded.

"I noticed that your service record is very good and you have received several awards. So what army did you serve in?" Director Wang said casually.

Lin Rui hesitated and said, "Army, the others are all on my discharge certificate."

Director Wang glanced at him, smiled slightly and said, "Just asking casually, don't be nervous. I know that the army has confidentiality regulations, and some things cannot be said casually, so just tell me what your specialties are."

Lin Rui nodded, "Light weapons shooting, fighting, reconnaissance and surveying, individual infiltration and counter-infiltration operations, and I also know a little bit about blasting."

Director Wang was stunned for a long time, and suddenly couldn't help but laugh, "?When a person was lifted up and his body's center of gravity had been lost, he suddenly turned slightly in the air, supported the ground with one hand, and used the force of the fall to kick the opponent's head with his legs.  This action was entirely based on instinctive reaction.  Almost without any thought, sudden and hidden.

However, the middle-aged man seemed to have expected this move. He bent his elbow and raised it to block his ear, blocking Lin Rui's kick.  However, Lin Rui also took this opportunity to stand up, looked at the middle-aged man and said sternly, "What do you want to do?"

"Try your skills." The middle-aged man said with a smile, "Kung fu like yours cannot be learned in the army. Military combat emphasizes grappling and fighting, with short strength and quick attacks. There are few traditional martial arts like yours.  Northern style tan legs or foot pokes?"

Lin Rui looked at him, frowned and said, "What does this have to do with you? I'm in a bad mood today, so it's not serious. Besides, you are too old. I can't afford to pay for medical expenses if you bump into me." He said  Turn around and leave.

However, the handsome middle-aged man¡¯s next words stopped him in his tracks.

"I know you are looking for a job, maybe I can provide you with a job." The handsome middle-aged man behind said calmly.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
