In the square in front of the central building of the fortress, there are several military jeeps parked.  Peng Lefeng was tied to a flagpole there, and the blood on his face had covered his left eye, which made his vision somewhat unclear.  He had multiple injuries, most of them from being beaten.  Not only was one arm dislocated, but several ribs were also broken, but I don't know if any internal organs were injured.  Gross's mercenaries were still beating him.

Peng Lefeng slowly raised his head, looked at a mercenary in front of him, and said with difficulty, "You'd better kill me. If you can't kill me, I will beat the shit out of you." However, his English was not good enough, and his speech was not good enough.  He was injured and his speech was severely unclear.  The mercenary obviously didn't understand, but this didn't prevent him from understanding Peng Lefeng's eyes.  So he smiled ferociously and punched Peng Lefeng hard in the face again.

This mercenary¡¯s attack was very heavy. A piece of blood spattered from Peng Lefeng¡¯s mouth. He threw his head heavily to the side and almost fainted.

Lin Rui approached the front cautiously.  The jungle camouflage uniform he was wearing had almost no protective effect inside the military fortress. He could only rely on some shelters and move forward carefully.  He reached down from the ruins on one side, holding a gun.  There were several mercenaries in front of him on guard. The two of them spread out to the left and right, while the other one stayed in the middle.

Lin Rui leaned against the broken wall on one side and panted for a while. After taking a deep breath, Lin Rui flashed and moved quickly.  Before the soldiers could adjust their aim, he burst out of the cover and landed among them.  He rolled on the spot, approached the soldier who was walking on the right and fired first, and grabbed the gun in his hand.

He yanked hard and snatched the gun away.  And because the man held the gun with both hands, his shoulder joint was instantly dislocated, making a loud breaking sound.  The injured mercenary lost his balance and fell forward.  Lin Rui immediately turned the gun over and hit him with the hard butt.  The mercenary's ribs were broken, and he gasped in pain, groaned and fell to the ground, then lost consciousness.

Lin Rui turned around to face the soldier on the left, quickly raised his gun and aimed it at his head, but instead of firing, he swung the gun butt again.  The soldier's head was hit by this sudden and powerful blow, and he flipped sideways and fell to the ground.  Lin Rui took a quick glance at the man and determined that he was in shock, unconscious and had a fractured spine.

He dispatched the two mercenaries silently in an instant, and the remaining gunmen finally turned around and started shooting at him.  Lin Rui used good tactical habits to dive to evade, and the bullets shot up a string of dust at his feet.

Before the enemy on the opposite side could react, Lin Rui stopped his falling and stepped aside.  In a standard crouching shooting position, fire suddenly.  The mercenary screamed loudly, and Lin Rui's two precise shots hit his leg joints. The mercenary's legs could no longer support his body, and the broken bones even punctured the military uniform.  Lin Rui rolled over and hit him on the head with the butt of his gun, ending the battle.

The sound of gunfire had exposed his position. Lin Rui quickly checked the condition of the gun and was satisfied to find that it could still be used.  He found the magazine from the pockets of the three mercenaries, and also found that the leader was carrying a sharp fighting dagger.  Lin Rui took it away too.

"Lin Rui, what are you doing?" Zhao Jianfei said angrily in the communicator, "Why don't you follow the instructions and wait for help?"

"The order I received was to complete my mission. Now, all my mission goals have been completed. However, the team members were captured. I can't sit idly by and ignore it." Lin Rui said slowly.  "I must rescue Peng Lefeng."

"Damn, this is Gross' usual game." Zhao Jianfei said, he sounded very angry, "I'm not complaining about your unauthorized actions, but" He suddenly stopped talking, "Forget it, you can do it for yourself, I  I can¡¯t help you with anything.¡±

Several more mercenaries rushed over after hearing the news.  Lin Rui can fire first now and kill them all.  In other situations, he would definitely take this approach to eliminate the threat as quickly as possible.  But now he can't, because what he wants to do is save people.  We cannot get caught up in this endless chase.

He strode towards the broken wall on one side and stood against the wall.

Three of Gross's mercenaries came over and they opened fire on him at the same time.  Lin Rui jumped to one side nimbly, and then rushed forward, changing his evasive postures while raising his gun to fight back.  There was a clear burst of gunfire and the sound of bones breaking, followed by bursts of screams.

"Don't move, you can't run away." The mercenary on the opposite side shouted angrily, accompanied by a burst of violent gunfire and the explosion of grenades.

Lin Rui was knocked to the ground by the air wave of the grenade explosion. A burst of tinnitus made his head feel dizzy. Fortunately, he was lucky. The wall behind him blocked his hand.?? fragmentation damage.  He picked up his gun from the dust on the ground. He turned around and saw that the broken wall had completely collapsed, and the rising dust was as high as a person.  The remaining mercenaries have now seen him.  One of them was reaching for the grenade on his waist.  The other three aimed their guns at him.

Lin Rui took out the combat dagger with his backhand and almost instinctively threw it at the soldier holding the grenade. With a whoosh, the heavy dagger hit the soldier's chest.

But the grenade in his hand, with the safety pin removed, fell to the ground.

Lin Rui rushed over with quick eyesight and kicked the grenade away.  It flew some distance and exploded in the air, sending smoke rising and debris flying.

The remaining three mercenary members opened fire violently, showering Lin Rui with a hail of bullets.  But Lin Rui had already found half of a thick concrete pillar as a bunker.

With the impact of each bullet, cement shards were flying from the concrete pillars.  ¡ª¡ªThe continuous firepower suppressed Lin Rui to the point where he couldn't even lift his head.  Lin Rui's gun was out of bullets.  He cursed in a low voice, lowered his body, rolled on the spot, dodged a row of bullets, and then rushed towards the mercenary team member closest to him.

Lin Rui bent down and raised his elbow to hit the mercenary warrior hard in the chest. His ribs immediately dented and he fell to the ground without saying a word, with blood flowing out of his mouth.  Lin Rui rushed over, picked up his gun, and fired twice.

The bullet tore into the chest of the second mercenary, who screamed incomprehensibly and dropped the gun in his hand.  John flew up and kicked away the rifle he had dropped.

The last person stood there dumbfounded.

Lin Rui didn¡¯t give him enough time to recover from the shock.  He rushed over to grab the gun in the mercenary's hand, grabbed the grenade belt from his body, and then hit him hard on the head.  The mercenary member fell to the ground.

"Lin Rui, you are such a stubborn guy. If you must go, I can't stop you." A voice reminded him in the earphone, "However, if you follow my instructions, you will be more likely to succeed.  "

"Actuary, I will remember this." Lin Rui lowered his voice.

Lin Rui put the automatic rifle and grenade belt on his shoulders and ran towards a place where he could be covered.  He crawled along the walls of the barracks toward the obstacle course.  He knew very well that there was a sniper ambushing in front of the main building of the fortress, and there was no need for him to be a target for the sniper.  And you can't rush to that place head-on. This kind of thinking is dangerous.  He was fast, but under crossfire he had no chance.  As long as you lift your legs, you will be beaten into a sieve.

The bulletproof vest he was wearing could not provide him with any protection at this distance.

When Lin Rui left the last barracks, he happened to arrive near the training ground of the military fortress.  The training ground is a rough patch of gravel and sand.

¡°Wait a minute,¡± the actuary said over the headset, ¡°don¡¯t rush through any areas that look empty, they¡¯ve planted mines here.¡±

Lin Rui suddenly stopped.  He had seen anti-infantry mines before and knew how troublesome they were.  It may not be powerful enough to blow someone up into the sky, but it can easily blow off one of your legs, plus it can be killed by countless mine fragments.  This thing is a real infantry killer.  This will slow him down significantly.

It¡¯s impossible not to go through the training ground.  Only from here can we hope to go around to the side of those mercenaries and seize the opportunity to rescue Peng Lefeng.  He had to pass here, otherwise he would have to attack head-on.  A frontal assault is an act of suicide.

    "Any ideas?"

"I thought you would never ask me." The actuary replied calmly, "Walk along the middle of the training ground and never approach the two sides. The two sides are absolute minefields, but in the middle, they left a five-meter  meter wide mine-free zone. Generally speaking, intruders will always walk along the edge of the building to avoid danger and reduce the possibility of being discovered, and rarely walk in the middle of the road."

"How do you know the distribution of minefields?" Lin Rui held the earphones with his hands and frowned.

"Guess." The actuary's answer was simple.

Lin Rui's expression couldn't help but change, "Guess?"

"Yes, I am generally a very rigorous person and never make unfounded guesses. But since you can do these things without fear of death, why should I make a bold guess?" the actuary said.  The sound made Lin Rui feel helpless.

"Are you gambling with my life?" Lin Rui frowned.

"Not really, because there is no benefit to me if I win the bet, and the same is true if I lose the bet. So I am not a gambler, but just watching the excitement. When it comes to life and death, you are a gambler. And in the hands of gamblers  The bet is never yours. Regardless of whether you believe my advice or not, I wish you good luck." The actuary chuckled and cut off the communication.
