Chapter 1001 Informant Coyote

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

The Free City of Sariendo is filled with ruin-like streets, lonely telephone poles, and blown-out wires hanging aside.  The collapsed buildings revealed twisted steel bars, and the dead branches beside the street stretched out expectantly into the air like bony hands.

The sky here is gray and most of the buildings are incomplete.  Even in a slightly complete building, the bullet marks on the wall are shocking enough.  The black people wandering the streets were skinny and skinny, and starvation caused most of them to suffer from severe malnutrition.  The endless war had left them physically and mentally exhausted, and their eyes were hollow and numb.

This place is like hell.  And some people's hell is some people's paradise.  A half-collapsed building was one of the few places in the city that still had electricity.  A simple fuel-fired generator, emitting black smoke, continuously supplied power to this place.

In this dirty, messy and smoky place, there is actually loud music and barely enough beer.  Some mercenaries gathered around the burning oil drums, smoking and laughing wildly.  From those areas separated by curtains, the gasps of men and women could be heard.  This is a place where mercenaries gather, and naturally there are various services.

Lin Rui was not interested in anything here. He turned to look at Crazy Horse sitting opposite and said, "When will your informant arrive?"

"I don't know, he has never been very punctual. Here, the virtue of punctuality is bullshit." Crazy Horse shook his head and said, "But I can guarantee that the information he provides is always very useful. At least I have known him for the past few years.  , It¡¯s always been like this. He will definitely come after he receives my message.¡±

"Okay, then we'll wait." Lin Rui said helplessly.

"Be patient, boss, or how about some beer?" Sergey said, holding up the bottle to him.

"Throw away that damn bottle, at least don't get yourself drunk until the end of this mission, you damn Russian drunkard!" Lincoln grabbed him and shouted.

"Hey, take your paws off, Yankee!" Sergey said angrily.

"Okay! Stop arguing." Lin Rui shouted in a deep voice, "If you have extra energy, go find a girl next door and do it to them. As long as you are not afraid of AIDS. We have a mission, and the mission is not over yet.  , we haven¡¯t failed yet! Do you understand?¡±

"I know, you are the boss." Sergey lowered his head and put down the beer bottle in his hand.

The curtain at the door was opened, and a black man walked in.  He was wearing a tattered camouflage uniform and holding half a cigarette.  After seeing Crazy Horse, he took the initiative to come over and bumped fists with Crazy Horse.  "Hey, hello. Mr. Crazy Horsehouse, you're not dead yet."

"He's here." Crazy Horse said to Lin Rui, "That's him."

"I heard that you are the best intelligence dealer in this place." Lin Rui looked at the black man and said.

"Probably. I mean, as long as you spend money, I'll be the best. That's why they call me Coyote, because few things escape my sense of smell." The black man took a puff of cigarette and looked  Lin Rui asked, "So, how can I help you?"

"We need to know some information about the secret society." Lin Rui looked at him and said.

"Secret Society" The black man who claimed to be a coyote was stunned for a moment, then jumped up as if he had been stung by a wasp, "I won't do this business anymore, you can find someone else."

"Sit down!" Sergey was beside him and pressed him down on the chair.

"We have been waiting here for you for a long time, and we are not here to hear your rejection." Lin Rui looked at the coyote and shook his head.

"But I really don't know what the secret society is. You must have found the wrong person." Coyote shook his head repeatedly.

Lin Rui smiled slightly, "If you really don't know, then what are you afraid of?"

"I don't know the news about the secret society. But it doesn't mean that I haven't heard of them. They are not easy to mess with. I advise you to give up asking for news about them. I know that those people are very powerful. There have been several and  They had festival guys, and almost none of them survived. God, I must have gone crazy to come to you. You're going to kill me," muttered the coyote.

"Okay Coyote, no one will harm you. And what we want to ask about is just some trivial things." Crazy Horse smiled, "And our bid is pretty good. As long as your information is useful, we are willing to pay a big price.  "

The coyote seemed a little tempted and frowned, "What do you want to know?"

"We want to know the traffic conditions in and out of the border." Lin Rui said slowly.

"Here? Are you kidding?" Coyote said helplessly, "The government troops have been defeated, and no one has been guarding the border for a long time. If it weren't for the blue helmets of the peacekeeping force, other neighboring countries would have been ready to take action. But??The Resistance Army is still very strict on road control, because it will not work if it is not strict.  There have been several attacks on highway checkpoints in the past week.  If they want nothing to happen to them, they have to tighten their control.  "

"That means the highway is now completely in the hands of the rebels." Lin Rui frowned.

"Yes, at the end of the war, the government troops were defeated. In order to prevent the rebels from pursuing them, they blew up most of the roads and bridges. Currently, there are only two roads that can be opened to traffic normally. One is controlled by the rebels, and the other is controlled by the United Nations.  The peacekeeping forces are in control. Because for the purpose of humanitarian relief, they must ensure the transportation of food and medicine. The rebels also acquiesced in their control of the road. After all, it is to their benefit." Coyote from the butt  A crumpled map came out of the back pocket.

"What is this?" Lin Rui frowned.

"Several major highways, all checkpoints, and armed garrison locations." Coyote shrugged.

"Okay, where are the areas controlled by the blue helmets?" Lin Rui frowned.

The coyote winked slyly and said, "I want to know what price you are prepared to offer."

"How much do you want to sell?" Lin Rui looked at him and asked.

"This information all comes from my private channels. If the rebels find out, they may think that I am a traitor and I will be shot by them. This is a risk of losing my head." Coyote looked at Lin Rui  He held out a finger and said, "It must be worth at least this much."

"Tell me, is it one hundred or one thousand." Lin Rui nodded.

"One thousand, we're talking about US dollars." Coyote looked at Crazy Horse and said, "This is for the sake of old friends, it's already quite a discount."

"I can pay. But there is one condition." Lin Rui shrugged. "I need more detailed information. I need to know more clearly about the situation of each intersection checkpoint, staffing, weapons and equipment. Not only  Details of the rebels, including those of the peacekeeping blue helmets."
