"How is the situation of the team?" Silver Wolf asked Lin Rui who walked out of the room.

"No problem. I'm just a little worried about Boss Long. Most of the team members don't know his actual situation. It's reasonable to be worried." Lin Rui whispered.

¡°I¡¯ll leave the team to you, and I¡¯ll take care of the rest.¡± Silver Wolf patted his shoulder and said.  "I just didn't expect that you would be asked to go on a mission again so soon, but there is nothing I can do about it. This mission is too important. Zhao Jianfei is responsible for protecting Mr. Long. Groups B and C are being rebuilt, so I can only let you  It¡¯s time to take on a heavy responsibility.¡±

    "I understand." Lin Rui nodded.

Two helicopters landed on the helipad on the roof of the hospital, but they were not the hospital's rescue helicopters, but two camouflage military helicopters.  Several heavily armed U.S. troops came down, calling on the walkie-talkie, and ran over to open the door to the rooftop.

"Hurry up, guys, the helicopter hasn't stalled and we only have ten minutes. According to the mission requirements, we must send you to the nearest air force base on time." The American soldier shouted at this group of lazy mercenaries.

"Special Aviation Regiment? The third battalion, hehe." Crazy Horse looked at the armband on the American soldier and sneered twice with disdain.

The 3rd Combat Battalion of the 160th Special Aviation Regiment is deployed at Hunter Army Air Force Base, Georgia. The battalion's main task is to coordinate with the U.S. Army's 75th Ranger Regiment for rapid combat deployment and combat needs.  Company F and Company G are stationed at the Fort Lewis base near Washington. Since the predecessors of these two companies have some background in the National Guard, they are also engaged in performing some homeland security operations in cooperation with the National Guard.

And genuine Army Special Forces personnel like Crazy Horse absolutely look down on the National Guard, which is similar to the militia, so they have a mocking attitude toward them.

"Okay, let's go and talk about it right away." Lin Rui pushed him to prevent him from talking nonsense to these American troops.

After boarding the plane, the American soldier looked at them and said to him, "We are pressed for time. In an hour, we will land at the Fort Lewis base. There, you will take a transport plane to the target area. Do you have any questions?  "

"A little bit." Sergey raised his hand and murmured, "Are there free drinks on this flight? I mean vodka, or whiskey or something." The other mercenaries also burst into laughter.

"This is not funny, brother." The American soldier said with a straight face, "Hey, pinch the cigarette out of your hand. Do you want to provoke me?"

Lin Rui patted him on the shoulder and said, "Okay, young man. You are not his brother, and you will not be his brother. He is a Russian. In addition, he provokes everyone. Don't give him wine, because  When a Russian guy gets drunk, there's nothing you can do to stop him from provoking anyone."

"Oh, boss, you are a bit too cruel to say that. I am working for the Pentagon now, can't I enjoy labor rights?" Sergey laughed and said.

"Yes, we have the right to ask for welfare benefits. Our freedom to smoke outside of work cannot be restricted. That is our right." Snake Eyes shrugged while holding a cigarette in his mouth.

The American soldier had no choice but to turn around and whispered, "God, these are really a bunch of lunatics."

"Just get used to it. They are mercenaries. That is a profession that only lunatics would do." Another companion whispered, "Forget it, don't argue with them. We just have to do our job well."

It was difficult to get this group of people to the Lewisburg base, and the helicopter was also filled with chaos.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord is located in the Pacific Northwest, on Puget Sound in Washington State.  The joint base was formed in January 2010 through the merger of the US Fort Lewis Army Base and the US McHalcord Air Force Base.

This is a large joint base with a total population of 200,000, including 27,000 active-duty soldiers, 52,486 family members, 10,000 non-active civilian personnel and 120,000 retirees.  The base serves all services as a training and mobilization center and is home to the 1st Special Forces Group, 75th Ranger Regiment, 6th Military Police Group, 189th Infantry Brigade, 404th Army Field Support Brigade and other units.

Its strategic location provides the Air Force with the ability to conduct combat and humanitarian airlift, with C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft capable of reaching any location on the planet from Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

After getting off the helicopter, Lin Rui and others met a major under the leadership of these American troops.  After further confirming the mission objectives, they were arranged to board the plane.

The C-17A transport aircraft combines strategic and tactical airlift capabilities.  The cargo space is generously sized.  According to the requirement that 6 trucks can be arranged in two rows in the cargo hold, the width of the cargo hold is 5.49 meters., 26.82 meters long and 4.11 meters high.  Three jeeps can be carried side by side, and three ah-64 armed helicopters can also be carried.  All types of vehicles transported by air can be driven directly into the cabin.

Because of this mission, Lin Rui and others must be equipped with vehicles.  Therefore, such a transport aircraft with the ability to airdrop vehicles is very necessary.

After boarding the transport plane, a US military officer was responsible for guiding them.

"For this mission, we have prepared three Humvees for you as required, as well as standard weapons and equipment that can be equipped with two field platoons. There is no problem in terms of firepower, but the defensive capabilities are slightly insufficient. In Africa, where rockets are flying everywhere,  You¡¯d better be careful.¡±

"So many supplies?" Lin Rui frowned and looked at the metal boxes and vehicles parked in the cargo hold.

"There is no way, given the current situation in South Sudan and your mission. No one knows how long this search and rescue operation will last. And we cannot give you any form of assistance halfway. These weapons and ammunition include other supplies  They all have to be airdropped at once." The U.S. Army Major explained, "Although it's a bit much, it's better than being left alone by then."

"Okay." Lin Rui nodded, "That's good. But I think it's best for us to organize on the spot after completing the airborne landing and establish a relatively hidden temporary supply point. Store the excess supplies and we can take them with us in the car.  Not so much."

"Yes." The U.S. Army Major said, "In addition, after you airborne, we will cut off all direct contact with you. This is also for security and confidentiality reasons, I hope you can understand."

"I know it all too well. It means transporting us to our destination, throwing us off the plane, and leaving us to fend for ourselves in the end." Lin Rui shrugged, "These are all old routines, nothing new."

The major coughed dryly, "I know this may be embarrassing, but this is our mission, to send you there and then return."

"Okay." Lin Rui waved his hand.  "Call me when you get to the designated location. I'll take a nap first."
