Chapter 1877 The Baron¡¯s Coercion

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

Outside a beach house in Durban, a black car stopped.  A man got out of the car. He was over 1.9 meters tall, wearing a black suit and a pair of sunglasses on his face.  There is a strange tattoo near his neck, which is an eight-clawed octopus lying on a skull.

He is the highest-paid private security consultant Octopus today.  Octopus walked into the door of the villa and sat down in the living room.

"I am Octopus, and my people are already here." He said to another person in the living room.

"I don't care who you are, I only care about your business ability." The owner sitting in the living room said slowly.

Octopus frowned and said, "I don't care who my employer is, I only care about whether you can afford to hire me. Today my people have been fully stationed and are currently conducting a security assessment on the perimeter of the venue. We have formulated several measures to start from.  The route from the airport to the International Convention Center, and the conference venues and residences of VIPs were surveyed.¡±

"So what's the situation?" The man sitting on the sofa asked slowly.

"There are many security risks, and we are trying to remedy them. However, as a large-scale conference like this, some loopholes will inevitably appear. The biggest problem is that the targets we want to protect all have their own personal bodyguards.  And I'm close to them. I have to make sure these people don't get in the way at critical moments. You know I can't command them, and they can easily disrupt our deployment." Octopus looked at sitting on the sofa, but always turned his back to  His people.

This man is a bit strange. He is wearing a red hood, which is a very bright red.  Obviously he doesn't want to show his true colors.

Octopus really can¡¯t think of such a bright red hood. What else can it be used for besides covering the face?  When encountering a battle, this red hood will definitely become a target. This bright red color is as bright as a blooming red rose.

But the man didn't seem to care about his opinion at all. He just stood up and said, "Octopus, you just need to understand one thing, that is, I hired you. You only need to be responsible to me and protect all the targets in our contract, and the rest  Nothing matters.¡±

"What if the targets' personal bodyguards refuse to cooperate?" Octopus frowned.

"Then let them cooperate, or make it impossible for them not to cooperate. You know that dead people cannot help but cooperate. And I'm not asking you and your people to travel here by offering you twice the normal price."  The man wearing the red hood said calmly.  "I need you to prove you're worth the price."

"I don't understand. If you offer me such a high price, you can hire other security companies in Africa. After all, they are more familiar with the situation. Why do you want me to come from Europe to do this job?" Octopus frowned.

"Because African mercenaries are unreliable, and they are good at killing, but when it comes to doing relatively detailed security work, they are not professional enough." Red Hood frowned, "You'd better be prepared for this mission.  It won¡¯t be easy. This four-nation meeting will attract the attention of many African countries because it involves a lot of sensitive information and interests. Usually, where too many interests converge, there are all kinds of dangers.¡±

"Well, what I want to tell you is that you did not choose the wrong person. Our company has a lot of experience in this area." Octopus smiled slightly.

"Don't show off to me. Matthews, you are a very smart and rigorous person, but you have a special arrogance in your bones. This mission is not easy. If you succeed, I will give you more benefits in the future.  But if you fail, then you have nothing." The red hood said slowly.

Octopus frowned and said, "Sir, are you threatening me?"

"It's a warning. If you succeed, you can still be your personal security consultant, and the number in your bank account will increase greatly. But if you fail, your security company will be destroyed, and two of your employees will be destroyed."  More than a hundred employees will all die, and everything you have built in the past few years will be wiped out. Including your family in Bremen." Red Hood said slowly.

Octopus's face changed suddenly, and he stood up suddenly, "You'd better take back what you said."

"I will never take back my words." The red hood calmly raised the remote control in his hand and pressed the button. A house appeared on the TV screen in the living room.  and two children in the yard.

The blood on the octopus's face was gone. He looked at the red hood and whispered, "Who are you and how did you find my family?"

"Don't be nervous, Octopus. I just hope you understand that even as the best private security consultant, you may not be able to protect your family. The world is risky, and you need to be cautious at work." Red Hood mocked coldly.?.

The octopus looked at the man wearing the red hood and whispered, "Sir, you are playing with fire."

"I play with fire a lot, and I play it big. If you fail, I will burn this house and the people in it to ashes. Do you think two hundred pounds of solid incendiary bombs are enough to burn it all down?"  The red hooded man laughed.

Octopus trembled all over. He looked at the red hood and said, "Using my family to blackmail me is actually not necessary for you. You should also know that we have always been reliable in our work."

"But, I never trust others. And I think this is a good habit. I only believe in myself. Mr. Octopus, only with enough pressure can you have enough motivation. Go back to work, I don't like passive employees.  ." Red Hood said coldly.

The octopus was shaking with anger, "You"

"Instead of complaining, it's better to do your job." Red Hood raised his hand and turned off the TV.

"Who the hell are you?" Octopus couldn't help shouting.

"I have had several names, but even if I say them out, you may not know them." Red Hood smiled coldly, "You can call me Red Baron, or just call me boss, because after all, I am your employer now. Take care.  Protect those few people, if you make a mistake, you will not be the only one to bear the consequences."

Octopus gritted his teeth and said, "You may be cruel, but you'd better be careful."

¡°When you go out, close the door, the sea breeze is a bit strong.¡± The Red Baron mocked.

Octopus glanced at him, then slammed the door and walked out.

Upstairs in the villa, the auctioneer Conan walked down and whispered to the Red Baron, "Baron, will this cause any resistance from the octopus if we do this?"

The Red Baron shook his head, "Black Island Company and Silver Wolf still have a high reputation in the mercenary industry. None of us are sure whether Octopus will have contact with them. So there is no guarantee from his family.  , how could I hire him? After all, this four-nation meeting is of great importance."
