They passed through the checkpoint beside the sand wall and continued eastward.  After driving in the Gobi desert for more than an hour, we arrived at Fariti.

A camp of the Popular Front for Western Sahara.  The person who received them was a middle-aged military officer.  He was wearing a green camouflage uniform, but this green camouflage uniform looked very conspicuous under the khaki desert landscape.

¡°Is Western Sahara so poor that it can¡¯t even afford desert camouflage uniforms?¡± Sergey whispered.

Although he spoke in Russian and the other party did not understand him, Lin Rui still gave him a look to signal him not to talk nonsense.

The officer came over, nodded to Lin Rui and said, "Mr. Rick, I heard that you were coming, so I rushed here early in the morning. Would you like to rest here for a while before setting off in the afternoon; or should you come with me now, let's go together?  Going to Smara?¡±

"It's better to leave now." Lin Rui nodded.  "Who are you?"

"Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Lieutenant Sakia of the Polisario Front in Western Sahara. I am responsible for your safety along the way." The officer nodded.

"Protect our safety?" Lin Rui smiled, "I am a little surprised that your government attaches so much importance to this meeting."

"It is true that we attach great importance to this. If a military company with a Russian background can cooperate with me, it will be a very good choice." Sakia said in unskilled English.

Lin Rui and others could only follow him on the road again. The road was a dirt road. There were many vehicles and pedestrians entering the city in the morning, and the road was very congested. The most encountered on the road were Toyota cars, yellow taxis and three-wheeled passenger cars.  motorcycle.  Local people have little awareness of traffic laws and often find ways to change lanes and park at will. There are also many vendors selling small commodities in the middle of the road. The traffic order is very chaotic and the convoys move very slowly.

Sakia and several soldiers always maintained safety alert, locked the car doors and paid close attention to the passing people and vehicles, and maintained communication through the walkie-talkie at all times, without daring to relax at all.  Seeing them looking like they were facing a formidable enemy, Lin Rui was a little bit dumbfounded.

After passing through the urban area, the number of vehicles and pedestrians gradually decreases, and the roads become smoother.  Sakia's tense nerves slowly relaxed and he began to talk to Lin Rui and others about the history of blood and tears in the struggle of the Western Front.  There were lush trees on both sides of the road, and soon they reached Smara.

For many people, Smara is an unfamiliar term.

Smara is a small city with a population of only 10,000 in the Western Sahara region. It is located in the northern part of the Western Sahara region. This city is very inconspicuous, but it has an important position in the Western Sahara region.

Currently, there is a larger refugee camp near Smara.  A peacekeeping observer team from the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara is based in Smara.

Lin Rui and others met with representatives of the Western Sahara government in a building in Smara.  The meeting was quite secretive, and everyone coming in and out was carefully searched.

After arriving upstairs, Lin Rui saw an old acquaintance, Ernest.

Ernest smiled and walked over to shake hands with Lin Rui, "Mr. Rick, you are finally here. I have been waiting here for a long time."

"Mr. Ernest, what's your attitude?" Lin Rui frowned.

¡°After what happened last time, I have to be more careful. There are serious differences within the Popular Front of Western Sahara.

Some people call for war, and some call for peace.  So we had to be careful not to create a fuss about our collaboration before it even started.  "Ernister looked at Lin Ruida and said.

"Sir's consideration is right. But there is one thing I don't understand very well. I want to know your attitude, is it for peace or for war?" Lin Rui asked deliberately.

"My attitude? To be honest, I was still a staunch fighter before this. But you know what happened last time made me a little undecided.

This does not mean that I want to give up my claim for independence of Western Sahara. I continue to support the independence of Western Sahara.

¡°But I definitely don¡¯t want anyone to use this as a reason to take advantage of the Western Saharan people¡¯s enthusiasm for independence.  To achieve their goals, Western Sahara is divided at the expense of the entire Western Sahrawi community.  I will never allow this.  Ernest whispered.

"Sir, you are right. So this is the basis of our cooperation." Lin Rui nodded and made a gesture to Jiang An.

Jiang An said, ¡°According to our contract, our company is happy to assist your government. We will provide comprehensive services, including military training, VIP security, military facility maintenance, logistics support, and services for all military-related projects.

But we have something to say first, weThe Americans will not enter and fight in areas actually controlled by the Moroccans.  Of course, it would be another matter if the area you currently control in Western Sahara is invaded.  "

"In other words, we can help you keep the area you currently control." Lin Rui nodded.

"But if you just help us keep the area we currently control, then why should I hire you?" Ernest frowned.

"Because of what you just said, internal disagreements. According to our intelligence, this is not just a simple internal disagreement. It's someone cultivating opposition forces within you.

You know the current situation of the Western Sahara government better than anyone else.  If there were major changes within the Western Sahara government, the consequences would be disastrous.  And we can help you survive this crisis.  Lin Rui nodded.

"I don't understand." Ernest said strangely.  "We have some internal differences, but they should be resolved internally."

"I'm afraid you are wrong. There is no possibility of any internal solution. These people want to take advantage of your independence and use force against Morocco.

And you also know that with the current strength of Western Sahara, if there is a war with Morocco.  What does it mean?  .  Lin Rui looked at him and said.

"Mr. Rick, I respect you very much. You saved me last time, but regarding this matter, your statement is so bizarre that I can't believe what you said.

I think even if you convey your words to Mr. President, he may not believe it.  You must provide some evidence to prove that what you just said is not alarmist.  "Ernister frowned.

"There is something here, so our intelligence team got it. It is very secret. I didn't plan to take it out originally, but since you want evidence, you might as well take a look at this first." Lin Rui reached out and took it from Jiang An.  He put a stack of documents on the table and pushed the documents towards Ernest with a few fingers.

Ernest took the documents with some suspicion, but after reading them, he said nothing.
