    ?

It was night, when the alarm sounded in the intensive care unit of the hospital, Pei Jing followed Liu Yongqing and rushed there immediately.  Sun Yuning was already looking at the equipment with other nurses inside and making preparations.

The room has been disinfected, and the smell of the liquid medicine is still very strong. There is a newly replaced oxygen cylinder standing next to the hospital bed, and the rubber tube has been connected.

Sun Yuning was checking the oxygen cylinder, and then arranged the medical equipment in the aluminum tray on the table of the hospital bed.  Lying on the hospital bed was a man with delicate features, panting non-stop in a coma, his complexion was slightly purple.

This is a young male teacher in his 30s who works in a local middle school. When he was sent here, he was finally diagnosed as a new crown patient by CT. He has been hospitalized for more than two weeks.

"It's difficult to breathe for 36 minutes, and the heart rate is 130 minutes." Pei Jing frowned and said softly.

"Push the needle, Lactated Ringer!" Liu Yongqing yelled at Sun Yuning after some inspection.

?Because the patient has difficulty breathing, the carbon dioxide in the body cannot be effectively discharged, and oxygen will have difficulty entering.  In turn, it will produce acidosis, and even lead to an imbalance of acid-base in the body.

Once all the organs of the body fail, it is already an extremely dangerous situation.  Injecting sodium lactate Ringer to the patient is also used to correct the acid-base balance.

This night, no one has ever seen Liu Yongqing so nervous.  He clamored to give the patient epinephrine, so that the patient's heart muscle and blood pressure would rise a bit, and maybe even make the patient jump up again by himself.

Liu Yongqing's face began to slowly turn pale with excitement, and when his eyes stared at the sick bed, the light that glowed was terrifying.

For a doctor, keeping the patient's life at all costs is the most important thing.  If patients make any mistakes, it is extremely distressing and unacceptable to them.

One hour later, the patient did not get better because of this, but instead became stuck in the air, and the symptoms of bronchospasm were obvious.  No one said anything, Pei Jing was sweating uncontrollably on her forehead.

She took the initiative to take the injection from Sun Yuning, and personally administered the methylprednisolone injection to the patient according to the procedure: "Wait a little longer, maybe there is still hope"

These words are not only for Liu Yongqing, but also to comfort all the medical staff present.  Everyone was praying silently in their hearts, hoping to see a miracle happen.

However, people who have been admitted to intensive care have already stepped into the gate of hell with half of their feet. How can it be so easy to have room for maneuver?

At three o'clock in the morning, Liu Yongqing's voice had gradually trembled into a choked voice: "Go to ecmo"

When the words fell to the ground, Pei Jing's hand on the syringe suddenly froze in mid-air.  A trembling uncontrollably spread across her body, and her chest felt terribly stuffy.

ecmo is usually used in cases of sudden cardiac arrest caused by car accidents or severe trauma.  In the case that the internal organs of the patient are not damaged, it can bring extremely valuable rescue time for the doctor.

The patient in front of him could no longer breathe on his own.  Nurses help draw venous blood out of the body through a cannula at the base of the thigh, combine the blood with oxygen, and pump it into the artery.  This allows blood to bypass the heart and lungs and complete the cycle.

However, the failure of other organs is inevitable. Going to ecmo at this time can no longer reverse the imminent death that the patient is about to face.  People are unwilling to take the initiative to give up this patient.

Even if it is hard to retreat, even if it is known that the hope is slim, no one wants to accept the fate of the patient!  The eyes behind the goggles were already full of tears. He was still so young on the bed. His students and his family were all waiting for him to go back!  They can't just give up like this!  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
